Taste of Thai

For more than 6 months, every time we plan a trip to this restaurant something wrong happens that prevents us from going. I have heard a lot about it and my friends insisted I try it out. Last night the plan was to go to another restaurant and while in the car a friend just called and booked a table in this restaurant instead.

Well not a disappointment at all, the food was good we have several plays for sharing. I personally loved the spicy red curry, sorry missed to take the photo. Atmosphere is authentic and the provost’s serving is added to the experience.

Will be visiting this restaurant again for sure to try other tasty plates.

The food was so tasty, and I will definitely go back. The one setback that they closed exactly at 9 pm and we had to rush and finish the desserts.

Note: The food is halal and worth every penny.

Just discoved this Thai restaurant and it was like finding a hidden treasure!. The food here is nothing short of spectacular. The Pad Thai has a delightful balance of sweet and savory, while the Green Curry perfectly marries creamy coconut with just the right kick of spice. It's not just the food that's impressive; the staff is friendly and the robots are the rock star of this place. What's more, the prices are reasonable, offering great value for quality meals. And for those who drive, the car park is a great bonus, removing any parking woes. Whether you're a Thai cuisine aficionado or trying it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit recommendation.

One of Melbourne‘s most iconic Thai eateries. Food is served fast and prepared fresh. Due to high demand you need a reservation and you are allowed to stay for 1.5 hours. The only drawback is that branch temporary closures are unforeseen and you need to call before you visit, if they’re not answering, most likely they’re not open. This. Branch specifically is better than the other (by consensus of friends).

Recommend dishes: taramind prawns, green curry, cashew chicken, fried rice and noodles. The chicken in the Laksa tasted bad.

It was our second time eating Thai food in a new restaurant and I must say that it was awesome. The food was really tasty and service was unique with robots bringing your order to the table. I can’t recommend enough to must try Taste of Thai in Thomastown.

Come with my friend. A go-to place for families and friends. In love with pad thai and barramundi fried fish. Barramundi definitely is a masterpiece. Roti is good, esp peanut sauce. Tom yum must try.

Sanitary area is clean. There is a room for praying too.

I enjoy the experience a lot. Will come next time with my friends!

Food was yummy. Came nice and hot. Asked for cold water. We got water which was warm blah. Had fun looking at the robots.

Really enjoy this restaurant when wanting Thai for dinner, highly recommend the Tom Yum Fried Rice, Pad Thai and Egg Noodles with Crispy Chicken

Great Thai food! The variety of dishes is amazing and you can customize each dish. On top of that its a halal place! I discovered it by mistake on google maps looking for another thai place, but so far the greatest mistake of 2024 🤣

ATENTION!!! ALL FOOD LOVER'S ❤ You must come try or get home delivered this bloody AWSOME food 😋, I actually have a bone to pick with these guy's and girl's, because the beef breast noodle soup, the beef breast stir-fry and the massaman beef curry with potatoes 🥔 😋 is so bloody delicious, i can't and haven't ordered from another takeaway restaurant, because this food is so YUMMY IN THE TUMMY. I even struggle to order different foods from here because i love those 3 items the best, but I have had the squid, chicken wings, tamarind tofu and prawns, the paradise prawns, pad see ew 😋 this chicken 🐔 and rice dish that I can't pronounce the name the something joy's the homemade dimsims,and I'm sure there's items that I've forgotten, but if you want the best homemade wholesome heavenly healthy food then come be part of your new THAI FAMILY.

Very nice and delicious food. The atmosphere looks very nice. It's little strange to see a manual sliding door in the entrance. The designated parking spot has limited slots. It is mentioned that 10% surcharge applies on public holidays.

Definitely coming back to try other dishes. We had chicken tomyam and deepfried sweet and sour fish. The batter was crispy and the sauce was nice too. I was told they dont use MSG here so its a ++!

Everything was top notch. If you want it spicy, ask for spicy. If its “mild”, it aint spicy for malaysian like me.

Price wise, considering its meant for sharing, its fairly priced. Come in group so its worth the money as you can share and have a taste of each dishes.

A very pleasant time with my family. Not my first time here. Quality of food was exceptional and well priced for the experience. Highly recommend the soups and sizzling plates, very fresh ingredients. Also my son had a ball with the robot waiters which was also a fun interactive experience for the family.

It's a family friendly restaurant. Food was finger licking and customer service was impeccable.

Amazing food and amazing drinks too ! This place is buzzing and the atmosphere is very friendly. I went in for a table of 3 on a Saturday night and they were able to sit us down in 10 mins without a booking. They were very quick with food to come out and the portions was great value for money. The best Tom yum noodle soup I have had. Can’t wait to be back !

We really like the food at this restaurant, almost every month we go to eat there, the attention of the waiters in my opinion is excellent.

Absolutely love this store, the food is outstanding one of the best I've ever had and the people are extremely kind and generous. The pricing is reasonable. They cater for halal, vegan and gluten free aswell. Very happy every time I go here. And the place is so busy so it can often be a bit of a wait to enter but so worth it.

This is the best Chicken Biryani with green sauce (khao mok gai) in Melbourne. Anyone who is looking for a Thai restaurant with traditional flavors. I recommend you to come to this place. Good price and quality
