Pond Cafe

I recently had breakfast at Pond Cafe in Torquay, and it was a delightful experience! The Smoked Salmon Tartine and Cauliflower Tacos were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed with the hot chocolate, which featured amazing artwork on top. Despite the bustling atmosphere and busyness, what made the experience even better was the beautiful view of the sea, creating a picturesque backdrop for our meal. The service was efficient, and I highly recommend Pond Cafe for a memorable dining experience with a stunning sea view, even if it's a bit busy.

What a great place for lunch. Good variety of food. Excellent prices. The staff were awesome. Had a great table on the street with background of the Ocean. Thoroughly recommended.

I had a delightful experience with my husband at the Pond Cafe for breakfast. The outdoor seating provided a perfect view of the sea. Our order included a cappuccino, a latte, and two mushroom goat cheese toasties. The toasties were incredibly delicious but quite filling; it was difficult for us to finish the second half. The coffees were truly mouthwatering, accompanied by stunning barista art. The attentive and friendly staff added to the overall wonderful visit. We'll cherish this memory!

Visited for Mother’s Day. Absolutely awesome place. All of our food was perfect. Coffee was up there with the best. Service was friendly and awesome. Definitely will return next time we are in Torquay. Thanks guys.

This is a quant seaside cafe in Torquay that serves excellent coffee (Ethiopian beans I think) and a good variety of food too with seating inside and outside. The long black was excellent, as was the spicy chicken, beans and rice bowl. My son liked the breaky burger, and the poached eggs were good value too. Friendly staff as well, so I would visit again.

Pork benedit has juicy chopped pork belly as topping and breakfast burger has stuffed fully with different layer of ingredients which I found perfect combination altogether

Top marks to the girl who came after me just as I was mounting the bike for the journey home, offering me a coffee in a porcelain cup. This surprising event came up after I casually spoke of getting a waxy taste from the stock-standard paper cup. Despite the glitch and really, for a coffee too good to put down, I slurped it up and said to the girl on my next Saturday morning whistlestop, I would have a porcelain cup. Now, just as I was leaving... and this is truly fantastic 🙏❤, I was approached with another, equally delicious coffee, in a proper cup, and I dips me lid (sorry, my fluoro green helmet...🪖) for the attentive, dedicated service and smiles everywhere you look.

And thusly, fully loaded with two caffeine ☕☕ hits from 'The Pond, I hit home 18km distant in record time! Woo-hoo! 😂 🚲🏁

Food was full of flavour and generally when we English breakfast at most cafe’s it’s just tea bags, this place had actual tea leaf, proper strong tea.

The wait staff process could be improved, I saw several times them walking around not knowing which table had ordered the food. Also, kitchen team rang the bell to indicate foods ready, there was a waitress just standing next to the cash register and chatting with the other staff, took no notice of the bell, also other staff walking near the counter could see food sitting there for collection just
Ignoring, finally another staff member took the food to the tables. Even, our food was being delivered to the wrong table and when we said it’s ours, she asked whether we moved tables ? when we had not. I think this is a definite area for improvement.

DELICIOUS Pond Big Brekky! Runny yolk poached eggs, perfectly cooked bacon and all the best sides! My sister loved her coffee and the beach views are immaculate. All day breakfast menu, too. Thanks, Pond!

Had the best breaky burger I've had in a long time, I probably should have ordered one to go it was that good.

One of the best brekkies that you're going to get in the area. All the food is pretty 👌. Friendly and professional staff they use that concentrate chai but the coffees are pretty good.

Was sceptical that anything described as a "breakfast burger" could deliver value at $20, but I'm pleased to say that I was wrong. Tremendous stuff. Friendly staff. Great coffee. Well done.

We tried the pork eggs Benedict and the beef brisket sandwich. Both were delicious and well presented.

Seating in the cafe is cosy and the staff very friendly.

We weren’t that hungry so we only ordered a beef brisket sandwich to share, and it turned out to be the best one we’ve ever had. Coffee was also really good. Would recommend dropping by for a cuppa or the sandwich!!
