Dorevitch Pathology

I recently had to get some blood tests done and went to Dorevitch Pathology for the first time. I have to say, I was impressed with the service. The location was convenient for me and the staff were friendly and professional. They made me feel comfortable and at ease during the blood test procedure.

The results came back in a timely manner, and I found them easy to understand. The staff also explained the results to me and answered any questions I had. I appreciated the clear communication and helpfulness of the staff.

Went in for a long blood test on a particularly busy Saturday morning. Special thanks to Anila who was on duty and was absolutely amazing. The lab was short staffed, but she treated each patient with courtesy, care and a friendly smile, and apologised multiple times to everyone waiting for the short-staffing.

Always get in quickly, and they never have issues with the type of tests or finding veins. In and out quickly.

This place is always extremely busy in the morning and never sufficient staff on to manage the load of peak morning activity. They do have sufficient rooms, just not the staff. If you need a fasting test, spect to wait upto an hour. If it’s a standard blood test, it’s best suggested to do so in the afternoons.

Honestly every staff member is so lovely there except one!! I have been there quite a few times and the ladies are so sweet and kind except an older lady there with white hair. Always grumpy and not warm at all.

My main complaint is that there just isn't enough staff to cope with demand, particularly in the morning peak. On two occasions I waited for an hour with only three people ahead of me. There was no sense of urgency from the staff whatsoever who looked like they were doing anything but moving through the queue as quickly as possible. They have enough testing rooms but need to provide the staff to utilise them. No one should have to wait longer than 15 minutes for a simple blood test in a facility with so many rooms.

The receptionist at the Wellness on Wellington Dorevitch is a grumpy woman who needs to learn how to speak to people nicely. Had to drop off a sample and was spoken to very rudely. On a positive note, the lady performing the blood tests is always very nice.

Usually they are very helpful and good but this isn't okay

Worst Dorevitch Pathology branch.
I would recomend wantirna or Boronia Dorovitch instead. They are but far but you will save a lot of time waiting.

Dropped my wife’s kidney stone for testing as told by the specialist . The stone and referral was sealed in a zip lock plastic bag.
And dropped it on Wellness on Wellington branch and so unprofessional getting a call after few days that the plastic bag only had the referral,one of the staff lost the stone.

They are very slow. Half an hour for each patient. The technician chats with patients and when they're gone she takes another 15 minutes to call next one. People need to get to work guys.

Was shocked yesterday getting a blood test at Dorevitch Rowville.
No social distancing. No hand sanitiser. Staff not wearing any PPE.
Could not believe a health facility has not taken any precautions against coronavirus for their staff or patients.
