Sticks and Stones Cafe Torquay

Google took me to this coffee shop today, the food and coffee are truly delicious, especially all the staff here are very nice and friendly. I am really satisfied. Thank you to the employee who took pictures for my family today and another employee who gave me a free plastic cup when I wanted to buy one.

We were here for our breakfast, we were welcomed by a very nice staffs, enjoyed the outside table.
Their Italian omelette, King Breakfast and egg Benedict were excellence. The flat white was memorable.
When checking out we were greeted by the humble owner and got some cake as a gift of their good gesture.
it was a great and pleasure experience for us, we will be back for sure.

We found this little cafe kinda by accident. We were about to hit the Ripcurl store when my wife mentioned she was a bit peckish. We had all but settled on wraps when I saw the sign for a ‘special dish’. And oh my was it special. A Persian Smokey eggplant dish. The super friendly owner told us it was a family favourite cooked by his Mum who seems to be in control of the kitchen. In short, go here and if the they have a ‘special dish’, order it.

The coffee was so lovely this afternoon. Caesar salad and chips were so yum. Chips were piping hot, so enjoyable.

Also ordered was pesto eggs with smashed avocado and pistachios (pic attached).

Great service as well.

Great little café, especially for burger lovers with a dozen variations to choose from. I had the Sunrise burger, and it was even better than any of the burgs I had in America when I went there on vacation. The chips were also good, not too thick of a batter with just enough crunch. I did have one of their blueberry tarts but it had too thick of a pastry base for my liking, but I won’t take off a star for it because the burger was just that good. I can’t comment on the macchiato unfortunately because I didn’t think it would be too strong for me. The man working there was also kind, attentive and patient. Lovely outdoor area and very reasonable prices on everything, too. So I reckon I might be coming back sometime.

I rarely give cafes 5 stars but this cafe has ticked it all for me! I had the lamb burger which was superb. The Lamb patty accompanied with sweet chilli aioli, lettuce, tomato and American cheese in a light crispy bun hit all the right notes. The artful well thought-out fresh and modern decor in a laid back spacious space was love at first sight. There is nothing quite like fresh flowers (liliums) at every table to lift my spirit. The large glass windows all down one side of the cafe contributed to the sense of spaciousness. There is indoor as well as outdoor dining available. High chairs make little bubbas welcome. This cafe would be suitable for individuals, couples, families and groups. Friendly staff also add to a positive experience. No wonder this cafe has won so many awards. May this cafe live long and prosper.

Whenever I visit Melbourne from Canada, my SIL takes us to a different cafe everyday to find the best iced coffee. Sticks and Stones cafe has always been and still is the best by far! This is the only one that we insist on coming back to every year. Ramona from Canada

Visited Sticks and Stones yesterday and couldn't fault it. Great feel, really good food at reasonable prices. Staff were great too. When back in the area will go back. Highly recommend

Lovely quiet cafe behind Rip Curl, had a toasted chicken, cheese, spinach and bacon on Turkish bread.
Delicious and cheap, happy and attentive staff also.

We stumbled upon this cafe looking for a casual brunch, and we were blown away by their amazing service and fantastic food. Their coffee is excellent, and the food was cooked to perfection. It was one of the best meals we’ve enjoyed in a long time.

We went there this weekend and it was great, the veggie brekkie is so good with spinach and hash brown are quite tasteful.
