Goroke Silo Art

My only complaint for the Goroke silo art is that the fence that surrounds it makes it difficult to get a good photo.
I know the intention of the fence is to keep people out, but it's easy to climb over, so it'll only work for honest people who respect the silo art.
A wire fence would've done the same job, kept the rural look of the silos and not be so obtrusive in photos.

Nice sheltered seating with the view of the giant birds on the silo.
We run out of daylight, would've liked to walk around town and explore the nearby reserves.

Apparently 'goroke' is the local first nation people's word for the Magpie. When you visit the area you understand why they picked the name for the town and painted them onto the silo.

It's worthy of the long drive out to them.

Beautiful artful addition to the silos. A must see if you are in the area.

This was beautiful artwork. The magpie & kookaburra looked so life like. We also drove to Horsham from Halls Gap first & enjoyed that Art Silo there as well. Driving in between is downright boring, but loved seeing what we did.

The Silo trail in its entirety was fantastic! Goroke was magnificent not just for the artwork but for the whole area that has been set up. The parking and seating areas were great too.

Lovely artwork of some iconic Aussie birds. Very good and well worth viewing. (See if you can find the Kangaroos and Emu's... one with three chicks... hidden in the background! ☺)
