One Tree Hill Lookout

Magnificent uninterrupted views, easy to get to, drive up to top of hill. Highly recommend.

Great sunset spot. No parking barriers so don't speed.

First visit was driving into the clouds..
had to return on a sunny day to enjoy the views.
The road is steep and a bit twisty, great fun.

I got scared about the steep drive and didn't go the first time in Ararat but when I came back I tried it and it wasn't that bad plus the views are incredible and the photos never do it justice! Stayed up there for a while soaking it all in, does it get cold!

Spectacular views. The views go as far as the Grampians to the West and Langi Ghiran to the East. You can even catch a rainbow in the distance, and it's free. Only a short drive from Ararat or the Hwy. Must take a look if you're driving by. If you have a 4wd, continue on down the track for a bit of added fun!

Awesome looks you get up there! But be careful when driving up the hill, our 2wd Camper overheated.

Definitely worth the trip up as the views of the surrounding area are magnificent Overlooking the township of Ararat and the wind farms to the east, and the majestical ridge line of the Grampians to the west. There are a number of picnic tables and lots of grassed area to sit and enjoy the views.

Amazing views out to Grampians and Pyrenees Ranges ... even for those who don't like heights! Look at all those Canola fields 😍

I recently visited the One Tree Hill Lookout in Ararat and was absolutely captivated by the breathtaking views it offers. Perched atop a hill, this lookout provides an unparalleled panorama of the surrounding countryside.

The journey to the lookout itself is an adventure, with well-maintained trails and easy access. If you don't want to walk, the lookout is only a short taxi ride away from the town. Upon reaching the summit, I was greeted by a sweeping vista that seemed to stretch on forever. The sight of Ararat township nestled amidst rolling hills is nothing short of picturesque.

It can get very cold and windy during the colder months. Please do layer up based on the weather.

Recommended to visit by the art gallery staff, beautiful view! We bought along some snacks and drinks, made for a perfect little detour.

Google maps is slightly wrong, the wide area is where you park/do the viewing. Don't need to trek further in.

We had a perfect sunset. Sitting on the clean golden grass while looking over rolling hills and mountain ranges was spectacular.

Absolutely stunning view from here. Its 360 degree view and anyone would love sunset from here. Very quiet place and if you are lucky you might even see kangaroos in the evening.

Only few minutes away from McDonalds, perfect for take away and having in the car with the nice view!
