I’m very happy with the care my daughter receives from all the educators. My daughter is currently in the toddler room but will be transitioning to the preschool room this year. My daughter has had a lot of support with the development of her speech and also learning positive ways to express herself and how to have friendships with other children. I have always had excellent communication from all staff too.

This centre has been nothing short of amazing. I have a child in each of the 3 rooms and they are amazing. The educators continually go above and beyond to ensure the needs of my children are met. They have great communication and ensure that you are constantly notified of anything. They incorporate lots of amazing activities with the children and ensure that the children are constantly learning.

The staff and management at Community Kids are incredibly warm and welcoming, and they really took the time to get to know my child and her needs. I also appreciated the excellent communication from the centre - they always kept me updated on my child's day and any concerns they had. My child loves engaging in a variety of daily activities offered at the centre, and has made some beautiful relationships with the educators.

I love the relationships that all the educators have with the children. They are all supportive of any changes and willing to help in any way possible. My son is currently in the toddler room and have build great relationships with all the educators and loves going to see them everyday, he gets in the car in the morning and starts saying their names excitedly!

I continue to be impressed by the staff and their ongoing commitment to the well-being of the children in their care.
The learning opportunities and experiences my child has had since being at CK are incredible and we couldn't be happier with this service.

We love Community Kids. Cathy and the team are like family. We get photos everyday to see what our kids are up to and they are always doing some craft activity.

This daycare was fine until we moved out of the nursery room. Then everything went downhill. Please see a list of the most egregious situations. I have given a second star as the start was fine.

1. Bloody shirt from wound of back in nursery. Was never acknowledged by daycare, however someone cleaned up the wound and changed her shirt.

2. Required husband to complain about lack of diaper changes, after mum had complained several times with no outcome.

3. Emails are not acknowledged. We were told emails are not for communication.

4. Talcum powder requested and then we were told it cannot be used as it's against policy.

5. Hitting, brought to our attention by toddler, not daycare. Educator unable to confirm or deny if hitting was taking place. Mark on face that was also attributed to a child at daycare.

6. Toddler says that child is pushing her at daycare. Educators refuse to acknowledge or explain.

7.  Educators unwilling to acknowledge that a gastrointestinal sickness was going around the daycare. Educators asked us if we had changed daughters diet and encouraged us to change daughter to a plant based diet to see if that would help with the constant pale coloured diorreah. Later found out that every child had the same sickness. Was confirmed by unnamed parties that sickness is not to be discussed with parents. This caused considerable amount of stress on our family.

8.  Educators inability to give concise and effective afternoon handover. Repeating the information we have already recorded via the app and interrupting the toddler to do so. Talking over the top of them.

9.  Educators claiming that a bleeding nose was an infection and couldn't tell the difference.

10.  Not enough notification for public holiday closures. They claim the newsletter is enough, but will not put any notices around the daycare.

12.  22/11/2023 - Picked up toddler, Educator told me my child had just been changed but her diaper was full of feces. Also, her shoes, socks, dress and pants were soaked through. Her foot skin was delicate due to the moisture.

13.  12/12/2023 - Toddler keeps telling us that other children were yelling at her today, but we have received no notification from anyone regarding it.

14.  21/12/2023 - Toddler has come home with a bruised and cut ear that is from a bite. We have had no information about any altercation at school and she didn't have it when we took them in this morning.

15.  28/12/2023 - Educator told us her diaper had just been changed - Toddlers pants were soaked through with urine. Meaning her diaper overflowed, her pants got soaked and even if her diaper was changed, she was put back into urine soaked pants.

As far as I'm concerned, it's quite obvious from the outside that management cares more about appearances to their head office rather than the well-being of children. They are told to not share certain bits of information with parents and are unable/unwilling to have a straightforward conversation with parents regarding the safety and well-being of the children that attend this daycare.

Daycare went downhill after toddler moved from nursery to toddler room.

At one point my toddler had a gastro virus & the daycare refused to acknowledge that it was going around. Instead they asked if we had changed my child's diet or if anything had changed at home. We were so concerned that she was really sick. Turns out every.single.child in the toddler room had this virus. When asked the daycare said it was only our daughter.

Another instance was my daughter came home with a diaper of poop so old that it had solidified to her skin. We had to soak her in the shower to peel the diaper off. This is after weeks of her coming home with overfull diapers & diaper rash that was bleeding. Our daughter was scared of diaper changes for a long time because she thought they were going to hurt. I had to have my husband come into the centre to demand they change our daughters diaper as it seems me, her mother, requesting it wasn't important.
