Honeymoon Bay, WA

What to say about one of the most remote places in Australia? It truly feels like the end of the road here, and a sunset at Honeymoon Bay is one of the most beautiful things to witness. Joy and her whole family were such lovely hosts - our kids ended up playing together on their trampoline, and they went above and beyond to make our stay great. Amenities are basic, but comfortable, and none of it matters when the campground boasts such incredible views. Try their homemade rosella jam if you can, made by Aunty Helen.

Very off the beaten track. Road to kalumburu will test your campervan. After the heavy rains road is just passable. Be warned, it's tough on vehicles and trailers. But we'll worth the risk as it's a stunning picturesque location. You can get fuel at the Mission in kumburu, they operate very strict operating hours. Hence call up in advance and confirm when fuel can be purchased. Expect to wait in line. Pump is in need of repair and very slow to fuel vehicles.

We stayed at Honeymoon Bay in the camp spot referred to as lover's lane back in 2003. It was a highlight of our camping trip around Australia. 4WD was needed to get there but it was worth it. I assume that you still need to take everything so that you are self sufficient.
Love this place because it is so remote, beautiful and unspoilt.

Joy and Les (Lanco) are amazing hosts. Absolutely beautiful beach with stunning sunsets. Half day fishing charter was great, lots of fish caught

Some secrets are worth keeping.... this little rustic gem is perched on the edge of the ocean providing amazing fishing opportunities and access to other local sights. The road to Kalumburu was the best I’ve ever seen it...

If you are looking for a out of the way camping fishing experience this is a great spot very friendly people planed to stay 3 days ended up 7. Flushing toilets donkey shower some huts for hire breeze through type lots of beach to camp on if you want to get away. Excellent fishing with charter 5 people plus 2 crew trailer aluminium boat. Some items at small shop ice drinks fridge full of treat items
