Altitude Restaurant & Functions

We 5 friend’s went there for casual dinner. No doubt we had a very good time. The restaurant has a nice view located on the second floor. Excellent service, Friendly staff, Great food. Nice presentation!!! Enjoyed the drink as well🍺 🍹

I've now been 5 times to Altitude since opening with new owners (lessees) about May 2023 and never been disappointed with the quality of the food and service. The only reason I haven't been more often is that I am a leg amputee and there is a stairway with 23 steps to negotiate - not a problem for those with two legs :-). Perhaps the building owners will finally install a lift! I'm sure this is one main reason why previous incarnations of the restaurant have failed.

This time the Chef and Maître D' are the lessees. The food is wonderful and presented so well it seems a shame to eat it.
The friendly service, view and restaurant presentation just makes you feel comfortable and at home.
Our most recent visit was on 6th January with a party of 5 and every single one of us had nothing but praise for our meals, all of which were different.
My house-mate and I have two favourites we swap between - the slow cooked lamb shoulder and the veal scallopini, each time they have been wonderful. I have also had the eye fillet cooked medium (it was a very thick cut) and it was the best I've had - so tender and cooked a perfect medium which is hard for a thick cut.

The new owners have made a great addition to dining out in Lauderdale. Of all the restaurants I have eaten at around the world, Altitude rates right up there with the best.

Thank you for making our wedding night dinner special for us. All our guests loved the food. The staff are fantastic and food was delicious and very well presented.

Experience, met with a smile, nice table and view, efficient order of drinks, not rushed for order, entrèe was good(Gravalax and cheese sticks), Mains were asked when we wanted them, scallopini and slow roasted lamb. Justwas great, meat tender and my wife loved her veal.
Next time a Main and a Dessert. Price was great for level of Service, Food Quality and Atmoshere. Book, it was busy.
We will be back, burp!

First time dining in and was more than happy.
Had our booking at 5pm today and arrived half an hour earlier.
We ordered our meal at 4.55 and was bought out by 5.15.
The meal was absolutely delicious and is the best I've had at any pub in the past ever.
I had the seafood platter,my wife chicken stir-fry.
Beautiful in all aspects...
The lovely people behind the bar were very accommodation and polite and were fast in meeting our needs.
The owner/ owners should be very proud of their wonderful bar staff and chef

Wow one of the amazing restaurants i have been here. The place is amazing and the staffs are quite amazing friendly and the most important thing is their food. Steak was absolutely amazing perfectly balanced just what i wanted and the desserts i was not expecting such a good ending of my meal. Amazing would love to come again and i would suggest to have a special of the week with a surprising food . Thanks

Fish and chips was very nicely done, the batter was nicely seasoned. Oysters are also served at lunch, and very fresh

We had a lovely night out with some friends. The outlook is lovely and the meals, service and ambience are fantastic. We will definitely be back.

If you went to Altitude when it first opened and were indefinitely disappointed, as I was. It's the opposite now. Good food, great service and you won't be waiting over an hour and a half for food in an empty restaurant anymore. Not the cheapest, but nowhere is, and it's a nice environment now...it would be $20-40 if you're not drinking cocktails and selections of the nice wine menu...

An amazing change has occured at Altitude! I had previously poorly reviewed - but under the new management, I have deleted my 12 month old review... WOW... what an improvement.
Altitude is the best dining experience anywhere in the region.
The service (thanks Cassie and Sam) was attentive without being imposing, and the food devine! We ate three courses and every one of them was flawless - clear 10 out of 10's all round.
Thank you for finally filling the quality gap for dining locally in the Lauderdale area!
I should also mention, the view is lovely too, looking west across Ralphs Bay towards kunanyi/Mt Wellington.

Had xmas lunch and it was amazing 10/10 food was exceptional and the staff were so friendly and amazing, could have not asked for more, wow well done I am excited to go back 😀

Fantastic! My partner and i had dinner and opted for the 3 course deal. The souffles were amazing, and the steaks were spot on. The staff were incredibly friendly, the chef even came out to make sure everything was to our liking. Cant wait to go back.
