I’ve stayed here twice now and every time has been wonderful, the staff are polite and they make checking in and out easy. The rooms are clean and very fancy with updated lighting that you can change the dimness of. Overall one of the best hotels in Melbourne

My husband & I had a lovely night here last week. It is a beautiful heritage hotel with many original features. The breakfast is very nice & all service was excellent. Special shout out to kind, wonderful & very helpful Tony who not only took our luggage, but was a wealth of information too. Tony, with that soothing speaking voice you should be on the stage. Mother’s Day High Tea was lovely. Fresh, eloquent finger sandwiches were the highlight. $89 per person. Tables were spaced well around the room. Staff were friendly, well dressed and polite. Rose and chocolates on arrival were a lovely touch.

In addition to the three tiers there was a dessert buffet.

The room was absolutely clean and very elegant.
Very cozy and relaxing atmosphere.
The food options are reasonably priced though they lack options.
The hotel is situated in a prime location with every thing accessible near by.

This hotel was an amazing stay. The bed was amazing, water pressure for the shower was amazing, and the breakfast in the morning that was included was top notch. Also, being located right on the waterfront, and in a central area, makes the entire Melbourne area extremely walkable. If you have the opportunity I highly recommend a stay here, because you won't regret it.

Ups and Downs Turn into a Memorable Stay at Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne

My recent stay at Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne was a rollercoaster of experiences, but ultimately ended on a high note, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the staff, particularly Sen at the reception.

Upon arrival, there were some minor issues with the check-in process, but these were swiftly addressed by the accommodating staff. I was graciously upgraded, though initially disappointed to find that the room lacked a bath, a specific request I had made. However, the team at Rendezvous Hotel went above and beyond to rectify the situation, offering alternative rooms with baths. While the first couple of options didn't meet my expectations, the final room they found for me far exceeded them.

The room was not only spacious but also had a bath, allowing me to unwind and relax as I had hoped. It was also remarkably quiet, ensuring a peaceful stay. Throughout the ordeal, Sen, a trainee at the reception, stood out for his unwavering assistance, kindness, and sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. His dedication to ensuring my comfort was truly commendable.

Despite the initial setbacks, the remainder of my stay was nothing short of fantastic. The hotel's amenities, coupled with the exceptional service provided by the staff, made for a memorable experience. Moreover, having breakfast included in the stay was a delightful bonus, with a range of delicious options to choose from.

In hindsight, while there were a few bumps along the way, the efforts of the staff and the quality of the accommodations turned what could have been a disappointing experience into a delightful treat. I am grateful for the exemplary service provided by Sen and the rest of the team at Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne, and I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to others seeking a comfortable, affordable and enjoyable stay in the heart of Melbourne.

I love the room it is pretty comfy, just the downside there is no microwave or kitchenette. Also they put 2 shampoos in the bathroom and there is no soap. So I put the soap to a glass to bring to shower place. Me and my husband stayed for NYE was great close to the viewing area.

We loved our 3 nights' stay. Booked directly with the hotel website to get the buffet breakfast included in the room rate. Location wise, it does not get any better than this, even better location than the 5 star Quay West on the opposite side of the Yarra River which costs twice as much. Although this is only a 4 star hotel, the location is 5 star. Reasonable rate, excellent breakfast, fantastic location, and only $25 overnight parking, this hotel is unbeatable.

My partner and I recently stayed at Rendezvous Hotel and had a wonderful stay.

We stayed in one of the Edwardian rooms which featured beautiful high ceilings and elegant architecture. The room was clean and had complimentary toiletries, as well as a well-stocked mini bar fridge. We also enjoyed the robes and slippers to lounge around in - it felt like a little bit of luxury.

Only thing I would’ve liked a bit more in our room was natural lighting; our windows were frosted and it felt a little dark. However, I understand it is an old building.

The hotel also prides its history, with old photos and information all around the building - this was a nice touch.

The location of the hotel is great. It is conveniently located across from Flinders Street station, as well as a tram stop right outside the front door.

I had expected to hear a bit of noise from the trains and trams below, however I was pleasantly surprised! The external walls are thick and despite being on level 2, I heard minimal noise from outside. It did feel a bit echoey and thin on the inside walls, however this was not a problem for us.

We also were able to enjoy the buffet breakfast offered in the morning. There is a wide range of food options from fruits and yoghurt, to classic baked beans, bacon and eggs. We were pleased with the available options.

Finally, staff were friendly and helpful when asking for help with our booking. I would recommend this hotel, whether it be while on holiday or even a little getaway in the CBD.

I had my mum stay here over Christmas and it was brilliant! I was staying a few blocks away and I wished I had booked here. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. The staff even left a small surprise for her on Christmas Day in her room. Thank you for a great stay!

This is our choice of hotels whenever we go into the city of Melbourne. It is in a great position near Flinders Street Station and just over the road from Southbank and the Arts Centre. It is a beautiful old hotel with history and gorgeous architecture. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfast has something for everyone. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful.

Fresh off the plane from the UK (arrrived at 2am!) we were greeted with wonderful kindness and joy from the staff. Then the room; the bed was wonderful (even if we were jet lagged and couldn’t sleep!!) breakfast was excellent, and overall what made it stand out was the staff. When it was raining out; they leant us umbrellas; when we needed forms printing; they printed them for us, and all of it done with a smile on their face and more than happy to help! Will definitely recommend when people come to visit us! The perfect start to our life in Melbourne

This beautiful building is right across the road from Flinders Station. Incredibly convenient and everything inside is absolutely stunning: decor, staff, rooms, furnishings, and bar.

I originally booked in to stay in a Yarra room (originally thinking this meant river views). However, this means the rooms are noisy due to the trains as the sound proofing is not particularly good. I was very fortunate, that there were other rooms available and I am so grateful for the staff's assistance.
You will see pictures of the Yarra room 624 (and then a comparison to non-yarra room 946). If you are a light sleeper, i would discage a Yarra room.

This hotel is absolutely stunning and I wholeheartedly adored the snapshot in time. Would stay again.

Very professional and friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable and stylish. My only issue was the size of the bathroom however was very functional and well appointed. Perfect location to spend time in Melbourne.

An older style well maintained hotel in an excellent area of the CBD.
Very big lobby for an older style city hotel. Plenty of comfy chairs and tables to rest in.
Very reasonable pricing if you look for a deal.
Excellent staff in all aspects of the hotel.
Great little bar with a 3 hour happy hour on certain days.
Nice hot and cold buffet breakfast you choose that.

Walk to everything that you need. Trams, trains, MCG, Casino, supermarket, bars, laneways, restaurants, you name it.

Our room didn't have the best of views, but it's a big city with building apon building and I expected that. Plus we were always out.
Excellent room with a comfortable bed and nice modern ensuite.

Old style hotel but centrally located , nice, clean and great staff. They provide most of the hygiene one use items which was great.
There is also a mini bar and snacks in the room if you feel famished. I loved my short stay here.
Floors were a bit squeaky and there was body wash at the bathroom sink but not in the bathroom.

A great place to stay. Easy to get to, car parking next door & within walking distance to Flinders Street station. Lovely, historic building. Room was basic but clean.
