Haven't had work even done yet and don't appreciate the experience. Went in to say I was organising getting a room carpeted so I was just deciding which one and a specific shade so I can get an exact quote and wanted to match it to a vinyl so I could create a little wet area as my opening is from outside a sliding door (converted garage) and gets super dirty. Was questioned multiple times saying "why would you need to do that" (uhhh do i need to further explain "wet area?? I should think that part is self explanitory) and asked why wouldn't I just carpet the whole room or vinyl the while room. Multiple times I had to say because this is what I want!! Kept saying it would alter the look of the room, (yes, thats why i want it done??) I explained my parents houses have a similar thing and i am aware of what it will look like. Then he went on and on about price and how expensive it would be, I repeatedly said I know, it's not an issue this is what I want and I will pay what what the products cost I am just here to decide colours etc And he scoffed and said "well it is I don't want you paying that much when you will just have heaps leftover" for one, i will uae the leftovers more than likely
but also why stock a product you don't want customers to buy? Or do you just simply not want to do the work? Nothing but complete and utter judgement from the time I walked in. Hope the service improves or I won't be going ahead with my job.

What a rort. The owner came out to measure and quote for carpet then told me that he preferred an empty house and wanted me, at 67, to buy/ hire a shipping container in order to have an empty house in which to lay the carpet.
When I objected to the cost, around $5,000, in addition to the carpet, he said that he could organise one cheaper.
Rort. Beware.

We went in to have a look at carpet and the man who was talking to us about carpet was extremely rude! And acted like us looking at carpet was a inconvenience to him.
I will never go to the store again.
Went to another carpet place in Devonport and they said they get so much more business because people are coming to them because simons dev customer service is so bad

My friend phoned to ask about stretching her carpet, she was told they couldn't do it! Why? She originally bought the carpet from Simons Devonport. Wouldn't you offer to pop out and advise and quote? Are you too busy to help your customers?
