Pipers River take away offers a range of hot take away's along with a local post office and liberty fuel. The staff are always polite and fast the food is good and well priced a good spot for a feed if on the road. They also stock essential groceries

The locality is about 23 kilometres east of the town of George Town. The 2016 census recorded a population of 426 for the state suburb of Pipers River.
