Ripe Property Noosa

My experience with Ripe property has been first class from initial engagement through to now managing my rental property. The agent has been an excellent communicator and champion for the landlord and tenant at the same time. We are very happy with the service.

Great property managers

I had the misfortune of renting through Ripe Property Noosa. Karen from Ripe Property took over my lease from the previous Real Estate Agent.

The owner/landlord advertised the rental property as having a private courtyard off the bedroom but when I moved in I found out from the Strata Chair that it was common property. I issued the Landlord a Notice to Remedy Breach for deceptive behaviour. The landlord offered a rent decrease to avoid going to QCAT, and although I was still annoyed I agreed to maintain a civil relationship. My lease was then terminated after 4 months with no reason given other than ‘End of fixed term agreement’. I asked Karen why I was being evicted as I had looked after the property and paid rent on time. I was told by Karen "It's none of your business'. The owner eventually told me she was looking at options to sell and that it wasn’t retaliatory. So I asked Karen about staying on a periodic lease until they sold and was told that periodic leases were not permitted in Qld any longer, which I confirmed through the RTA was a lie. Shortly after I moved out the property was advertised by Ripe Property for lease, so yet another lie. I was punished for exercising my rights, which is against the Tenancy Act. I ultimately decided not to fight it as it wasn’t worth the stress.

I have been a landlord and renter for over 25 years, Karen is the most unprofessional Real Estate Agent I have ever dealt with. She literally yelled at me over the phone.

Response to the Agent/owner: Karen knows precisely who I am, and that this is not a fake review. Yet another lie.
I have updated my review to include the entire events as they transpired considering the owner Megan has now decided to jump in. Megan deceived me before signing the lease and whilst in the property. She then evicted me as punishment for exercising my rights. She told me she was selling when in fact she evicted me for holding her accountable for her lies. Karen then perpetuated those lies in the most unprofessional manner. I was offered a week's free rent to entice me not to go to QCAT. The lies these individuals are peddling are like nothing I've ever experienced. Google reviews are for customer experiences and this was mine. Karen, if you do not wish to receive a negative review then don't treat people the way you treated me.
