Turkish Tukka

Came here for lunch. I ordered the doner kebab. It was super tasty I also added hummus and garlic sauce, it comes with lettuce tomato onion, it was Devine some of the lamb was a little dry then normal. I have had it a few times before from here but however it was still good. I also love the spinach flat bread so nice! If you haven’t been here I highly recommend it!

I recently came back to turkish tukka, i must say it was the first time trying the chips to the Kebab, it changesit alot,as there is way less lamb and too much chips

On a wander through Launceston’s cbd, I felt like a coffee and, at a loss as to where to go, coming out of an alley right alongside an establishment called Turkish Tukka (love it!) as their placard mentioned coffee and Baklava, it was a no brainer for me! So I decided then and there on a Turkish coffee… this Cafe appears to be more about kind of fast Turkish food or a takeaway place. But, with a sparkling and interesting decor set around Turkish style tiles and there were people eating in, I felt comfortable enough to sit in and have a coffee there. Well, lovely female server assured me they did have Turkish coffee and home made Baklava (oh dear! Yum 😋) and the atmosphere was quite friendly and relaxed. Well, the coffee was brought out so quickly and was so smooth and good, that I ordered another one! Had only one piece of the Baklava though! The Baklava was also delicious: crisp pastry, not too syrupy and sweet and plenty of that tasty nut filling that goes so well with Turkish/Greek/Lebanese coffee…
The second coffee came out with such panache, as the (delightful female) server brought it out on what was, I guess, a traditional Turkish serving tray… it was so charming. It felt ceremonial and I was indeed charmed. She then humoured me by letting me take photos of the whole service. Just amazing! I think the coffee was $4 (it’s better made with sugar!) and can’t remember the charge for Baklava but it was worth it! I so enjoyed this little break from your average Cafe, Cappuccino and Smashed avocado… I will go more often for a little Turkish getaway. It really was that good and enjoyable. I want to try their food soon too!
Kudos to their patient and charming female server, who brought me back to the delights of Turkish coffee and served it with the whole kit and caboodle and with style… I’ll be back soon!

Great food. Plenty of it, variety….and reasonably priced. If you want takeaway or can sit outside in the sun then it’s a great place to stop. If you want to eat in then … well, a bit utilitarian and takeaway-like.

Everything we had was fabulous, and I especially liked my herby chickpea quinoa salad. Great quality!

Delicious Turkish treats - we stopped in for coffee and apple tea, with some baklava and all the flavours of Turkish delight (we especially enjoyed the orange). Simple but attractive decor, very nice table/serving ware, friendly service. The meals menu looks delicious, and we'll have to come back to try it out.

All I can say is WOW! My husband and I each ordered a lamb döner kebab wrap. I ordered with the garlic mint yogurt sauce and he got the chili sauce. Both of us loved our food. We are talking about returning tomorrow to try more of the menu. The lamb was cooked so perfectly. So delicious. Oh and treat yourself and add chips to the wrap, you won’t be disappointed.

Stayed just outside Launceston and went into the city for dinner. Great food at a good price! Friendly helpful staff. Family of 6 and had takeaway for $75. The "plates" were large with enough meat for 1-2 people. Ordered extra Turkish bread to make our own wraps. 3 different salads to choose from but bean salad had run out.

Just finished what was one of the best doner kebabs I've had.
Meat, both lamb and chicken was tender, juicy and bursting with flavour.
Looking forward to trying the other dishes.

Juicy meat straight from the fire. Fresh and interesting salads. Turkish tunes. Really friendly and helpful staff. It tastes, smells and looks so good. A sensory delight.

Great place for a quick lunch and excellent value for money. There are tables inside and outside but it's geared more towards takeaways.
I ordered the falafel plate and the portion size was very large. It came with pilau rice and salad. Would've liked to try other options on the menu but we were only in Launie CBD for a day.

We got the Mixed Meats Snack Pack. Would call it a meal, rather than a snack. And it was actual meat, not kebab mince. The chargrill/BBQ in the back fills the place with aroma.
Flexible - let us swap the chips for these excellent Turkish salads.

We ordered the Halal Snack Plate - Mixed meat (chicken & lamb). It really was enough for lunch for two after exploring the city on foot. Nice clean premises with quick service and delicious food.

Ive had Halal Snack packs from 10-12 places in Hobart and Launceston. This is the best Halal Snack Pack in Tassie!!! The chicken is so well seasoned and everything is a perfect blend!!! Highly recommended!!!

The lamb kebab is probably the best kebab I’ve ever had in my life. I literally ate the same thing for dinner 2 nights in a row! Being from Sydney, we don’t have kebabs as goods as the kebabs I’ve had from Turkish Tukka!
