I went to Dr South for a broken fibula (and I have other health complications). Dr South provided excellent treatment and I had an excellent outcome. Dr South's knowledge and experience are very evident from the outset. I couldn't recommend Dr South more highly.

After 2 months on workcover for an absolutely work related injury. This dr did my "independent review". He seemed nice enough, however he discounted the 2mths worth of Drs appointments I had been to, from two different drs. He discounted the Physiotherapist I had seen, using air quotes to describe their methods. HE DID NOT EVEN EXAMINE THE AREA OF MY INJURY!. He discounted my need for an MRI, even though one was ordered through my Dr who had seen me for two months relating to this. He discounted my hospital stay relating to this injury. He explained my ACUTE injury away as nothing more than a CHRONIC injury (that has never ever troubled me in any way before) from me being fat and old. It is not a chronic injury, it came, disabled me temporarily and has almost completely healed through Physiotherapy. The report read "There was no injury".
I can tell you, being the one who has experienced this, there absolutely WAS/IS an injury related to a known issue through my workplace which has now been resolved, in part to my injury. I am fine to return to normal duties, I don't need nor want to be on workcover but I needed it to survive having used all my leave entitlements to recover. Having my injury belittled by a dr that looked at a ct scan (which read only minor changes, normal for my age, not enough to incapacitate me) and had me lift my legs up and down for 5min, is completely and utterly disappointing and unethical.

I recently had an independent medical examination with dr michael south,after reading the report it is clear that dr michael south contradicted every specialist that i had seen in the last two years and lied for workcover qld for his his own financial gain.Hope you choke on your champagne and caviar you poor excuse for a human being.
