Periwinkle restaurant

We had dinner here over the Christmas holidays and loved it so much we went back again before we left. I know it’s controversial but I like my steak well done and often it doesn’t arrive cooked that way. I was pleasantly surprised when my steak was cooked to perfection.

Fine dining meets beach culture. This is a great night out, with exceptional food and service. I had steak which was perfectly cooked. Others I was with had chicken, spaghettini, and crab. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had an excellent wine, and the desserts were also beautifully presented and prepared. I had the Crepe Suzette which I would highly recommend.
This is not an inexpensive night out, but not exorbitant either. Between 4 of us, we had 2 entrees, 4 main meals, and 2 desserts, a bottle of wine, a glass of wine, and 3 coffees. This came in between $320 - $350.
Some people dress up and others come more casually dressed to suit the beach holiday feel. We were able to bring our dog, who was served water and ice blocks, twice through the evening, at the initiative of the restaurant staff.
I would definitely book here again, next time I am in Peregian.

Extremely enjoyable experience, with friendly staff and a delicious meal. We ordered the spanner crab linguine, lamb shoulder risotto and steak frites, and were delicious. The steak had a thick gravy, with seasoned chips and a nice lettuce (!) salad. The other two were slightly less filling but still delicious. We will be coming back for the amazing experience.

One of the best meals we have had out for a long time. Authentically French and the portions are very generous and the tastes are simply divine. The absolute highlight for me was the lamb shoulder risotto and crepe Suzette. The wine list is great also. I recommend this place highly.

We are foodies on holiday from New Zealand this was easily the best meal we had on the Sunshine Coast. Service was attentive, food flavorsome and the wine list well thought out. Thanks for a great lunch team!

Lovely place. Relaxed feeling. Service was great. If there was one fault it is the table size. Great for two. A bit crowded for 4. But we managed.. Thank you

This is one of the best restaurant/food experience I had for a long time regardless the origin of the cuisine. We (around 10 people) were there for a birthday celebration. The food was absolutely incredible. The service of every staff member was at the highest standard, friendly and efficient. It was great to see that, before entering the restaurant, they check your COVID vaccination. We felt very safe there (the restaurant was almost full with guests).

100% delicious! Five star meal with excellent quality, service and ambience! I enjoyed the steak which was like butter and my friend enjoyed the linguine with crab. We started off with the scallop and puff pastry entrees, our dinner was absolutely sensational, cheers and bon appetit!

Wow, what a great place for a very enjoyable meal. Would highly recommend Periwinkle Restaurant. My husband had the steak and I had the Barramundi, both beautifully cooked. Thank you for an excellent experience, we will be back next time when on holidays to the Sunshine Coast.

Terrific lunch including Tuscan tarte flambé and smoked trout salad. Efficient service but great casual vibe. We lingered chatting to the adjoining table but there was no pressure to leave. Highly recommended.

We were very impressed with our dinner last night. The moment we arrived, we felt very relaxed and comfortable. The staff were absolutely lovely and would probably be our favourite service we have ever had. They checked on you just enough and we’re very efficient. It was a fantastic atmosphere. We had the baked scallops and sourdough, duck, seafood risotto and chocolate lava cake. All our food was amazing and perfectly cooked. My husband is a chef and was very impressed with the duck. The sauce was just stunning!
We can’t thank them enough for our perfect child free dinner!

One of the best French I’ve had in a long time. Great deco, great food, cooked to perfection. Such a relaxing vibe. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend and will def visit again when we r in this part of the coast

Food and service was magic. A must to go again, staff were very attentive and polite, I highly recommend

The food was the highlight here, especially the spanner grab spaghetti. We also had the duck confit which was very rich but perfectly cooked. We shared the two mains and agreed the duck would be too rich to have a whole serve to yourself. We found the service to be a bit weird - not rude or majorly wrong, but just lacking the expertise you expect at a high end restaurant. Drink selection was also a bit lacking - we would have liked a cocktail but that wasn't an option. Still, the food was enough to rate this 5 stars.

Ist time dined there and everthing & everyone were exceptional ,highly recommend it, so very welcoming. The food was presented with great attention to detail.
