Tara Lagoon Parklands

Been coming here for 9 years. And over those years seen lots of changes. The lagoon and campground is awesome nice quiet. Clean and friendly people. The kids play are is great and the walk around the lagoon is great. I can’t fault anything here. The toilets and showers I can’t comment on as I use my caravan. But hubby uses them 90% of the time is clean and tidy. It is dog friendly and lots of places for walks. Bbq and tables chairs a few around.

An absolute outstanding area with walkways, toilets, picnic tables & bbqs, as well as fishing & just had a fishing comp there as well, able to camp there too in the designated areas, you really just can’t ask for better with being so close to town & walking distance to shops for shopping or morning tea lunch or dinner with dinning out.

The foodworks there is hands down the best supermarket I've seen and everyone is so friendly.
The walk around the lagoon is beautiful and it's just under 3klm.

Just want to say a big Thank You to Ben & Katie caretakers of this lovely relaxing parkland. The place is lovely and clean, the amenities are spotless. The grounds are nicely mowed. This place has it all, play area for children, exercise equipment for those who are keen. Beautiful walk around the lagoon. The bird life if up early can be a treat, we saw birds we hadn’t seen before.We spent a week there and relaxed. Ben & Katie put on a sausage sizzle on Saturday evening where we could all gather and meet.
Hats off to Ben & Katie for trying to make a difference for all.👏👏👏

So grateful we could stay there as an evacuee from the Tara fires. Still don't know if our block survived intact.

$10.30 for the first night then you get the next 2 nights free. That $10.30 for 3 nights which includes power and flushing toilets and timed hot water showers. All new. Dump point on site with potable water available. Right next to a large lagoon with great bird life. Walk to town which has the best Foodworks in QLD.

This is beautiful & peaceful, even tho construction of extensions is going on weekdays. New clean facilities, just parking on bitumen area atm, but right by lagoon. Grassy areas, picnic facilities, council run, value at $10 first night, then 2 free nights, can't recommend highly enough. The town tho' small has lovely Op shop, local crafts, bakery with huge tasty sausage rolls, supermarket etc, & art & sculptures to interest. Also fishing. Totally unexpected little gem. I will return for sure.

Clean. Well cared for. Free RV park with free hot showers and toilets, bbq area and RV portaloo waste unit.
Lagoon to fish and kayak in.
Heaps of parking on new bitumen areas.
Open spaces, nice gardens, 1 miniute to Tara town, very convenient. Great way to allocate Council spending, very useful for guests and residents.

Great place to camp. Most sites have power. Level caravan spots, toilets and showers. Nice easy walk in to town. Grounds are well maintained

This is as good as possible. At early evening you think half of TARA is calling in for a shower this also is applicable of early morning. Across the board all is well catered for

This is a great place Tara Lagoon Park power . Water, very clean toilet and showers. . Have a big Foodworks store ,post office, great news agent. .

In tara the lagoon is a refreshing backdrop to a scenic tour to the western downs

Toilets and Shower and a new kids playground area being upgraded. Nice walks along the river. What more could you want. Oh and bbq areas 😊👍

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The showers are hot and clean.

Quite beautiful at the moment with full lagoon, some plants and wild life. A lot of caravans are taking advantage.
