It involved cleaning the roof, replacing broken tiles , repointing the ridge capping and repainting the roof.My roof now looks even better than I hoped it would - a real stand out which has lifted the appearance of the whole property.

I had a broken barge tile that needed replacing and was recommended that Jed from Ultra Roof Restorations was the man for the job. This was late last year and he managed to fit me in the week before Christmas (sorry for the late review!) He checked the roof over and did the repointing that was also needed. If you're on the coast, and need a roof clean, repair or just an honest opinion on what to do - Jed is your guy! He's an actual legend, goes above and beyond, an absolute perfectionist and yet so down to earth. Our roof was covered in mould, with several broken tiles (that we didn't know about!) and in just a few hours it was unrecognisable - it literally looks brand new. Hands down the best roofer on the GC!

Jed was referred to me by my lawn moving/gardening man - Mark - who is a perfectionist. Mark said Jed was excellent at roof restorations, therefore I accepted Jed's quote for a full roof restoration.

Jed is meticulous and takes pride in his work and it shows. He is hardworking, professional, focussed and takes no shortcuts.

With the paint, I had in mind a lighter shade and Jed suggested a deeper shade, I took his advice and the difference to the way my house looks is amazing. My neighbour has asked for a quote and my neighbour across the road has already accepted Jed's quote. He also wanted the same coloured roof as I now have but Jed suggested a different colour due to the colour of my neighbour's bricks. There is a knock-on effect. People seeing the outstanding job Jed performed are looking at their roofs, this helps house values in the street, people take more pride in their home plus you're protecting your asset - important in south east Queensland storms.

Jed does all the work himself, unlike some roofing companies who send their employees out to restore roofs. There's a sense of security as there's not this uncertainty as to whether a good job is going to be done or not.

I sent a photo of my roof to a friend in Perth, with the caption "I have the poshest roof in Australia". She came back and said "It looks new".

As Jed was referred to me I never sought any further quotes as you can't quote on "quality". I have no idea how he compares in price to other tradesmen but that didn't matter. After seeing how hard and thorough he was I feel as though I received tremendous value and Jed has increased the value of my home. When you find tradesmen who take so much pride in their work, it's the customer who benefits the most.
