It’s always a treat to stop at Some Cafe in Collector for lunch on the way back to Sydney. Delicious home cooked food, and yum daily specials to indulge in. Great service from a friendly local team and a lovely historic atmosphere.

May2024. A short detour on our return trip home from Canberra. A busy hive of activity at Some Cafe at Collector with a variety of menu options including gluten free. The special cauliflower soup with GF toast was a winner, along with a chai latte. A selection of preserves was also available for purchase. Friendly staff. Excellent customer service. Definitely worth a visit!

Very nice cafe! Definitely worth the detour. Really enjoyed my strong cap and carrot cake - that was divine!

The team is super friendly and the cafe very neatly organised!

Great selection of local wines as well and bites to enjoy.

Amazing little find.. by chance off highway. Yummy breakfast, friendly service . Rolls looked so full and yum bought a couple for lunch later on instead of chancing a ‘iffy’ place! Also bought banana bread an an amazing looking cookie and some of their yummy ‘berry berry jam’ which I had tasted on my toast. A MUST!!

Itching for a break on our road trip but we have high standards with our coffee. Definitely rate this one up there, felt like I was in a gourmet hipster cafe in Surry Hills with the quality baked breads and artisan goods. Got a large cappuccino, not too hot and the beans are amazing.
Already contemplating another stop here on our way back.

Absolutely gorgeous little cafe in the small town of Collector. The staff were lovely and the menu was compact. The burger and chips was very good. Coffee and pumpkin pie to go was also excellent.

Fantastic place to stop on the way back to Sydney from the Snowy Mountains. Close to the motorway. Good food. A farm shop attached to the cafe with an interesting selection of sauces and jams. There's also a second farm shop around the corner and on the Saturday we were there, a market across the road.

Dog friendly seating outside and a water bowl for thirsty furry friends.

Great coffee and beautiful surroundings. We loved sitting amongst the flowers and bees while enjoying our coffee and cake.

Some Cafe has the reputation it has for good reason! This is a fabulous little gem of a place, on the main street through Collector. Go in at the far left of the building and get served at the main counters, and then sit right there or walk through to the large eating area with TWO fireplaces (very welcome in winter!) or go further again to Some Store, with local food, books, gifts, and more. Definitely worth a visit and worth a trip. Just try not to need the loo - they're outdoors and quite chilly in colder weather!

The food and coffee are both delicious at Some Cafe. This is a must stop for me on any Canberra / Sydney trip. This time we had “veg Dingos”, delicious egg, spinach, hash browns on potato buns. Menu is small but fresh and delicious, plus they always have great specials. Highly recommend.

Some Cafe ticks all the boxes — tasty and unpretentious food with quality ingredients, a modern and bright atmosphere with seating inside and outside on the verandah and in the garden, friendly and efficient and efficient service and even take home goodies. Their pork and fennel sausage roll in particular was outstanding — meaty and moist and encased in gorgeous pastry 👌 however we enjoyed all our meals. I grabbed some take away coffees which were very good. My only regret was not having left enough room to try one of their delicious looking cakes. All the more reason to take that detour off the highway and come back next time! 👏👏👏

Stopped by for breakfast on our trip back to Sydney from a big overnight in Canberra.
Vibes were immaculate, service fast and friendly. Coffee was solid (large is huuuge) The dingo and veg dingo breakfast burgers were both delicious! Probably one of the best gluten free buns we've had (and I loved the potato bun as well).

It is nice little cafe located at Collector. Perfect for a breakfast when heading down to Sydney from Canberra.
The staff are very friendly and the cafe has a nice vibe to it.
The food was delicious and the coffee was great too. Ordered the shakshuka and a toastie. Both items were great. There is parking in front of the cafe too.

Great place to stop - relaxing, quaint country cafe, but upmarket vibe. Delicious food and lovely staff. Definitely worth the slight detour off the highway

I came here for morning tea on Friday 30 September. I really loved my experience here. A real old fashioned country cafe. The coffee was superb. The brownie was home made and fresh. I loved what was on offer here. Keep up the good work. I will be back every time I pass between my home of Sydney and Canberra.

EDIT: Thanks for the kind words. Mum loved the Some Jam she got for Christmas. See you Thursday 06/04 for coffee, lunch and Jam.

Cute and trendy little cafe in the Town of Collector - We drove pass and popped in for a quick coffee and snacks. Love the selection of wine and craft items - the brownie is the best we've ever had! So good!

I have always wanted to try this place. I would see the sign as I drove by Collector and then today I finally went.

Situated in a lovely old building, there are seats inside and out. When you enter, there is a really big display of baked goods at really good prices. We sat inside, near a roaring fire and both got chai lattes. One of the best chai lattes that I've ever had.

The food was nice though my vego dingo burger was a bit bland. Some tomato chutney would have been nice. They have a small store with some really cute things to purchase, like tea towels.

The bathrooms are outside situated in a nice old building and were clean.

The staff were lovely and attentive. Seemed to enjoy working there.

I will definitely be back.
