Blackbutt Lookout

An absolutely gorgeous spot with a view over the Tweed Valley towards Mt Warning through to Lamington National Park and the Nightcap Ranges.
Two picnic tables and a couple of pit toilets.
Was lovely and quiet we had it to ourselves.
The road in is recently graded so s good time to visit. Drive slowly you may just see some rock wallabies as we did.

This a nice day trip from Gold Coast via Numinbah Valley and then Tyalgum for a coffee. The road in the national park is a bit slippery when wet but you don't need a 4WD. It's $7 to drive through. There ia a bush toilet at the lookout, and picnic table. You can carry on to Kyogle or Nimbim for lunch, then maybe back via Murwillumbah.

Beautiful look out. There are toilets and a picnic table here so perfect for a lunch stop.

This ridge is high & very exposed to the east. The weather can turn quickly. I’d advise you check the forecast before you come, if the cloud rolls in you’ve come many kilometres to see only mist. However in a clear day, absolutely stunning. If you’re taking photos the best time is early morning or sunset. Totally world class view.

If youre looking for a great view with toilets and a table to set up lunch, this is the perfect place. It has a large observation deck, a table and toilet facilities. Not far from the pinnacle lookout (about 20 mins drive). It offers views that are rivalled by few other places. I would highly recommend a stop here if youre in the area.

The view is not as good as it is at the Pinnacle but much easier access.

This is a spectacular lookout of a ancient volcano cordea that shows the erosion of surrounding land of the opening of the volcano leaving the solidified magna in the middle which we called Mt Warning. The drive up is about 25km of good dirt road which is easily accessible by 2 wheel drive but not larger vehicles. It has a sheltered and un-sheltered table with benches as well as a drop toilet.

We got there late in the afternoon, driving though thick fog, the veiw was spectacular

A truly breathtaking view looking down from the caldera edge in the Border Ranges National Park. The scale of the view is immense and photos don't do it justice

Absolutely stunning outlook on Wollumbin (Mt Warning). One of the best views. The whole Caldera looks amazing from here.

Seems the prime minister has closed all the nsw national parks and im still in here.. tent will go up tonight and hopefully ill get out if they open the gate at 7am.
