Let us in late, stayed nice and efficient all night and smashed out a mixed entree and 6 mains in no time, all the food was spot on. Now yes I was hungry so maybe that helped, and yet I would have to say overall there was some really tasty work done for us. The potato flatbread and beef dumplings were outstanding by any measure. You could do a lot worse than this Newport gem.

After long time I got Arabic flavour in Arabic food 😋😋😇😇🥰🥰

We had an exceptional meal at the Sahar. The portions are not large but they are extremely tasty. I highly recommend the red bean dish and the Chcken tandoori...just delicious. Their house white wine was also delightful. I would highly recommend this venue.

All meals we had were delicious and a good range of vegetarian options. Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Will be back.

Finally we have discovered this hidden little gem of a restaurant, on this perfectly balmy summer evening. The food was delicious and in total harmony with all the decor.

We have been dining at Sahar since they first opened and the food and service is always very good. We love the outdoors dining area!

Do yourself a favour take a drive up to Newport and visit this restaurant. It's tucked away on a side street. Food is packed with flavour abs showcases some traditional favourites. A holiday ambience and beautiful decor with friendly staff. Great for families or that romantic night out for two.

Had delivery. Food was excellent. We were bored with the usual Thai/Indian/etc options and were grateful for interesting new spice and flavour profiles. Lamb and Chicken kebab was lovely. Eggplant and Pumpkin were highlights. Very different to Indian cuisine and well worth trying.

Have dined here many times. Food is always yummy. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Quite possibly the best Afghan food I have had. The service was incredible, the waitress was incredibly lovely and very helpful! The Decor of the restaurant really matched the cuisine. Will definitely be returning!

Amazing spot! We finally made it to dinner tonight after walking past several times during the day and are SO glad we did! Absolutely delicious food, friendly, welcoming staff, and lovely service.

We had the mixed entree platter, an aromatic delight (Kadoo Boranee is my new favourite food), then Fish Korma and Lamb Kebob (not a typo 😉 and SO tender - yummo) for mains followed by the dessert platter - perfectly sized and equally delicious.

We have to go back because there are so many other things on the menu we were tempted by!

Amazing food , a true gastronomic delight , the spices and flavours were delicious and beautifully presented .Excellent service our waitress was attentive and helped us choose our dishes .The decor is easy on the eye and cosy ,all round my friends and I had a great night and we will be back for sure .
