Ash & Kay's Rocket Cafe

Generally, not much good happens down a laneway, but this cafe is an exception.

The cafe is small and but the menu is extensive without being stupidly large.

We were a group of 10, taking up half of the seats at the cafe and were expecting a calamity of errors with our order.

The meals are cheap and all include a coffee.

Our coffee came out after only a few minutes, the food came out within 15 minutes, and was hot.

Everyone enjoyed their meal, I can highly recommend the breakfast wrap.

Blast off! This cafe is cute with open space seating, which was refreshing for breakfast. The staff were friendly and inviting for customers.

As for the food it’s was really delicious; I would say that the sourdough was really tough and hard to eat, but this is my personal preference and my mistake for ordering it with sourdough. I enjoy regular toast and should have ordered it to my liking, again this is my personal preference no hate or judgment on the cook or management as the food was lovely.

Altogether I would highly recommend this cafe as it is quite welcoming and the friendly staff just make eating out more enjoyable. :)

Yummy burgers and chips. Comes with a soft drink. Friendly and fast service. Outdoor area is shielded from the wind.

Very friendly, nice people. Great Coffee and bacon egg rolls. Very affordable, and super fast service. Very clean and a nice feel to the whole experience. Also offer Fijian gourmet.

This place looks unassuming but what a find!
Came across this when our normal place was closed. Soooo happy. The curry is amazing . The caesar salad was tasty and filling. They knew exactly what gluten free meant and adapted to my needs.

For any fellow Fiji Indians on a vacation to Ettalong this place will satisfy your cravings for Fiji style curry, whilst also attending to daily breakfast and amazing coffee for the morning start. Highly recommend for everyone to visit 👍👍

So happy to discover this recently opened cafe on my trip to Ettalong Beach and especially happy to find Fijian food on the menu. The chicken curry came with rice, Dahl and 2 roti, enough for lunch and then leftovers for dinner. As good as any Fijian meal I've had on numerous trips to Fiji. Lots of other choices on the menu, friendly owners, outside tables, would highly recommend this cafe and will definitely return.

Excellent food, great service very nice and friendly staff, highly recommend it. I be back again and have amazing curries and burgers at an affordable price. Their juices was very nice and best milkshake I ever had.

Had the pleasure of having lunch at this venue on a few occasions now. Both times, I (we / family) was (were) not disappointed. They have only been opened for a few weeks but have quickly gained momentum and food does not disappoint. It has a very unique menu and at a first glance, you will probably be inclined to order something. But when you do, you would be glad you did. Apart from usual cafe menu, you will be presented with a native fijian menu. From chicken chopsuey, chilli chicken, fiji lamb to duck curry. The potions are also very generous.
I travelled from Sydney and am glad I made the stop here before going to the beach.
Will definitely be going back again.

The BEST cafe in Ettalong!! Such a good find everything we had there was just so delicious!! Breaky wraps were just never level tasty! So good! Went there 2 days running and will be back when we visit Ettalong again! Thank you!

Had the Blt sandwiches, they were great highly recommended it one cut into two is enough for small eater you need wipes if take away, there finger licking good get a coffee also, l will return

Myself and wife went to Rocket today for the first time. We both had the chicken curry that comes with dal, 2 roti and a papadum. Beautifully presented and extremely tasty, best described as fijian comfort food, of course made possible by the indian diaspora. Noticed the burgers at a family table nearby and they looked fantastic also. The owners i assume named Ash & Kay were lovely and keen to please.

This place has just opened. It's tucked away down the back of the arcade. Love the owners. Really Friendly and welcoming. Coffee is GREAT!!! give them a go.

We have been here a few times and the food has always been amazing! The owners are beautiful people and there is always a great vibe.

OMG the chicken burger is so delicious! Comes with tasty chips and a drink for only $15! Go get yours!
