I have been meaning to try Merle's cafe for months and I was not disappointed. Curries are bursting with flavour, hit the spot on a cool autumn day, sitting in the sun at the outdoor tables enjoying live music from a nearby busker. Service is warm and genuine. The experience is like eating at a family home. Great value.

Excellent chicken vegetable curry with rice and naan here for $19. Healthy, good sized meal for a big eater. Wish we had something like this out terrigal way. Highly recommend.

This is our go to place for amazing curries! In fact amazing food all round. Merel and Craig are lovely people - we always have a good chat and a laugh. First visit here with new owner and menu. Refreshing to have a new cuisine available in Gosford Cbd. African slant gave my butter chicken a new level of spiciness. Generous servings at reasonable prices. And for those who are looking for extra hot coffee....thus is the place.

A great Cafe for breakfast and lunch in Gosford. Open so early 6:30am. Merles South African Cafe caters for business meetings and social get togethers. Personally I love the chunkiness of all the beef in the African curry. Merle, Craig and staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the food, so if there's anything you want just ask, and if you don't have time to wait for the fresh made sandwiches call ahead.

Fabulous food with friendly service. I eat here at Merles at least weekly. The curry is delicious and a generous serving. Highly recommended.

Delightful find in gosford cbd. Aircon inside, food is fresh and fast. They welcome babies. Thumbs up.

I have been here a few times now. really affordable prices. food is good and the staff are always so lovely and really care about their customers. The Chai latte and banana smoothie could have done with a lot more flavour they did kinda just taste like milk. Maybe just some more consistency with the food quality and quantity. its varied a few times. But they would be my only critiques. Would recommend. great spot for a good feed on a budget.

The menu clearly states that food is served fresh but she microwaves her frozen curries and then gets upset when you point it out. At least she refunded the money. Not totally dishonest.
