Apricot cafe

Visited Apricot for the first time today for lunch. Prices were very reasonable - I got the chicken parmi with chips and salad for $14. Service was very friendly and it was all ready fairly quickly. Will definitely be back and certainly recommend.

We discovered Apricot Cafe on a day trip from Sydney and think this is a goldmine Cafe in Gosford. What a find. Not only are the lunches beautifully cooked and with generous portions, but their selection of cakes and slices on special order are totally out of this world. Janine and Brittany are two of the loveliest ladies you will ever meet and they put their heart and soul into this gorgeous little cafe. How lucky are we to have stumbled across this wonderful eatery. We hope that Central Coast people will support this cafe and we even travel from Sydney now to have lunch and pick up our order of cakes. Last week our family enjoyed a beautiful passion fruit cheesecake for our "Freedom Day" dinner.
Small businesses need a boost not only in tough times but in general, and these are two ladies who deserve the support of local people. Thank you Janine and Brittany for the love you put into your food and for your welcoming embrace to customers who can't wait to return.

The cheesecakes are to die for and all my friends and family rave about how amazing they are as well!

This is a hidden gem which can be easy to miss due to the low key appearance. It has great food at a great price! My favourite is the Mexican Schnitzel. It is a good size portion which sometimes carries over for 2 meals. Also, the seasoning options for the chips are very tasty. I like the chicken salt. Worth a visit for lunch.

Have been looking for a great burger place for some time on the coast. Such friendly service, really yummy burgers (we had the Mexican burger, homemade risslole and a plain burger for my son) and yummy chips.
Will definitely be back, and might have to order a loaded cheesecake next time, too!

Janine & Brittany are great people with great food. If you live in Gosford you need to check out the Apricot!

I would expect a humble Cafe like this to at least have friendly service, but it had an unpleasant vibe. Their eftpos machine wasn't working when I ordered and they said they'd sort it later. I had my toddler with me and he didn't feel welcome. Of course after 30 mins of sitting there and trying to deal with my child and eat, I walked out forgetting I hadn't paid. The owner shouted at me from across the street with a reprimanding tone, as if I was a petty thief. Not a nice experience

Not really a review as I couldn’t go to the cafe because despite what google said it wasn’t open - please put opening hours on your door, or at least on Google so people know when you are open.

At least South End Social was open across the road...
