Bywondah Retreat

Thank you to Julie & her husband for providing this beautiful place which made our getaway for my partners 30th absolutely perfect. From the cabin, to the scenery, the wildlife, the friendly service & of course the fishing. We will be back !

Most beautiful place so far in NSW, 44 km from Tamworth. Ideal for exploring peace and nature. A rental property for a group at a time with a huge range of activities suchlike as fishing(chargeable), boating, jogging, bonfire, offroad trial, dam site, sheeps and of course stunning milkyway at night. Very warm Hospitality by Julie and family. Thank you and planning back again with bigger group.

I've been going to Bywondah for sometime now. The cabin and overall accommodation is fantastic. Beds are comfortable and clean with some great amenities too. Thank you Julie and Rod. You guys are great!

Absolute heaven on earth! Can't wait to come back when it's warmer and the fish are a bit more fired up.

My wife and I stayed at Bywondah recently for a fishing trip. The accommodation was very well maintained and supplied with warm and comfortable beds. The kitchen facilities were very clean and to our surprise we found provisions from previous guests in the pantry. Julie and Rod were very accommodating and I recommend this place for a nice quiet getaway.

My partner and I wanted an adventurous fishing trip and had seen the advertisement for Bywondah and thought what a beautiful piece full place, with saying that they also hold accomodation, unfortunately to our surprise one of the cabins situated by the lake was occupied by a group of Hunters. When arriving to the second lake that was situated by the cabin where the hunters to our knowledge were drinking on the balcony greeted us by rudely yelling out stuff. We realised they were watching us with binoculars, when they started yelling out take a selfie as I was taking pictures of the view! We got up to leave...we were to uncomfortable to stay any longer gave the finger got in the car and started driving. They continued to follow us back to the property were the situation escalated. I have never felt so unsettled and scared!
I’m sure if we didn’t run into the company we did the place would have been enjoyable for us as the owners were lovely.
