What a wonderful family holiday! The cottage was quaint but very well set up including toys for the kids. Fireplace was wonderful for toasting marshmallows. The farm animals were plentiful and safe for the little ones. The chicken coop at each cottage was the highlight for kids, collecting the eggs each day. The treasure hunt was also a fun part of the holiday. Would recommend this farm stay to all.

Just spent the weekend at Morvern Valley cottages - a wonderful experience! First of all Julie is friendly, hospitable and full of good advice/recommendations for what things to do in town. The location is scenic and close to town (its just an 8 minute walk from the cottages to the chemist and Thai restaurant). The accomodation has everything you need to self-cater whilst at the same time has an olde-world luxurious feel about it. Open fire places in the two cottages we stayed at 'Original Homestead' and 'Braedon', also gas heaters. The farm animals are a highlight of course - my grandkids collected eggs, patted horses, alpacas etc there are geese, sheep etc etc - a great place to stay for a few days, get out of the city, see the historic town of Bundanoon and visit a farm with friendly animals.

We had such an wonderful time staying at Morvern Valley. We stayed in the original homestead and it felt so cosy. The beds were comfy and warm. We had a great time in front of the fire. My kids (7 and 9) loved collecting the eggs and feeding the chickens and also the ponies and donkeys. We loved hanging out with the animals in the paddock even in the rain and mud (that's what it's all about)!
Gypsy was my favourite 😍 she would follow us around and would always come over to our fence for a treat. We learnt that lightning jack does not like Carrots haha he prefers apples!
Julie was so lovely to speak with when enquiring to book and gave so much detailed information.
I will be recommending this true farm stay to everyone and we will be back!

Morvern Valley farm cottages were just what we needed. It was great to unplug and just enjoy the beauty of farms landscapes and animals.

We stayed in the Alecia cottage which had a homely retro charm. We were warm, comfortable and relaxed throughout our entire stay. The hosts are considerate in ensuring that the cottages are stocked with everything you may need during your stay and also outling any additional requirements in a document sent to you well before your stay. We were only a group of two adults and a toddler but there would have been plenty of room for more to stay with us in our cottage.

My daughter loved going to collect eggs from the chickens each morning. We then made the best scramble eggs I have eaten for breakfast in the fully stocked retro kitchen.

Fudge the mini horse would come for a visit each day. You can't help but fall in love with Fudge. He was extremely friendly and gentle. We fed him carrots and apples. Then enjoyed giving him a pat.

We were also regularly visited by Sunny and Cookie the donkeys. Who were probally my favourite part of the whole stay. They were both friendly and charismatic. Sunny would gently follow us as we walked through the paddocks. Or stick his head through the fence when he saw us and open his mouth as if to say feed me please. It will melt your heart.

We loved exploring the farm and visiting all the animals. When my daughter is a bit older I would love to take her on the treasure hunt that Julie and Jason have thoughtfully created for families who visit.

They also offer free tractor rides or grooming encounters with Fudge. We didn't take these offers up as my daughter is still a bit young, but I think it would be fantastic for families with older children.

The farm is quiet and extremely tranquil. You will instantly start to relax when sitting on the balcony at your cottage and looking out into the farm. I recommend doing this at sunset for the full effect.

We absolutely loved our stay at Morvern Valley Farm and can't recommend it enough!

We discovered this little gem in Bundanoon (stayed at the end of March 2023). Our 2 year old son loved every minute of the stay there. The farm animals were all so friendly and kind and we were able to collect fresh eggs every day. The fact that there was very limited mobile reception (stayed at the Alecia Cottage) was a wonderful. I never had the opportunity to detach and detox from work emails so this was perfect getaway for all of us.
Julie was lovely to deal and we will definitely come back again. Thanks again!

Our large family stayed in Alecia and Braedon, matching cottages across the main paddock. Both were very comfortable, with versatile configurations, enormous fireplaces, and plenty of firewood. We had four children (ages 4–10) and all enjoyed hours with the ponies and donkeys, and Molly the goat, and looking at the ducks, geese and turkeys. Lots of fun on the tire swings, too, and hunting for treasure through the bush paths. Excellent location, too, just a few minutes drive or a 10 minute walk from Bundanoon. Highly recommend.

We spent the last week of my summer holidays at Morvern Valley Farm Cottages and it was truly the highlight. We are still talking and reminiscing about it weeks later. The cottage was gorgeous, an authentic journey back in time to a place that welcomes tea on the balcony, walks in nature and fresh eggs from our very own chicken pen. We loved how settled and calm we felt surrounded by so much beauty. We'll be back - guaranteed!!

We had such amazing time at the beautiful and quaint Original Homestead cottage few years back. It was fun collecting eggs in the morning and getting kindling sticks for fireplace in the afternoon as well as visiting and feeding the friendly farm animals. You can tell that a lot of care and attention have been given to the place and the animals. Thanks for sharing this special place with us Julie!
Updates July 2022: Recently we had booking issue(from our side), Julie was the most understanding and helpful to make it as smooth possible. Can't wait for our next magical stay there!
Updates Mar 2023: Stayed at Original Homestead again, such magical experience with the animals, fireplace and surrounds. Thanks for the help Julie and Jason. Super yummy Anzac biscuits from the welcome basket too!

We had a fantastic time at Movern Valley!!! Highly recommend if you want to get out of Sydney for some fresh air and good times.
The staff and owner were so welcoming and my little niece loved the animals, especially feeding them! The food was great and there so many activities and bush walk to be done. Thank you again for such a great time

This was one of the most amazing trips I've been on. When we first arrived we were easily able to find our cottage as there was a sign showing us the location of the cottage. If we were not driving on a four wheel car we would have probably not been able to drive into the alecia cottage parking area. (you could drive into the original homestead) When we walked into the house everything was clean with fresh vegetables in a basket. The chickens had even layed some eggs for us (approx 6). Speaking about the chickens, if you like to sleep in, in the morning the rooster is certainly going to wake you so bring some sort of ear plugs.

The resort advertises it's farm as host free so there wasn't any service. But all over the farm were fun activities all being kid friendly which had detailed signs explaining safety and how to do things. But if you needed help the phone numbers of the owners are on the door and they told us to not hesitate to call them. Before you come they email you with very specific details so you know exactly what to expect.

There is no internet or cell phone reception. This might be a downside but we specifically came here to take a break from technology. If you have children bring some DVDs or some board games, as they are likely to be bored and streaming services are likely to not work. There was an array of DVDs at the resort.

In conclusion we really enjoyed our trip and hopefully be coming back.

Just spent 4 wonderful days at Morvern Valley Accomodation and wow it was so relaxing. There were so many beautiful animals to pat and feed and so much to do. We had some rain but that didn’t stop us from engaging in the many activities to be had. Julie and Jason were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much bother for them. Julie went out of her way to help me with my booking and was so accommodating. We will definitely be coming back soon for another stay. Highly recommend Morvern Valley for a lovely relaxing farm style getaway.

Amaizing place. A lot to offer and very close to Sydney. We have stayed here twice and have had wonderful experience. The cottages are spacious, comfortable and lots of animals to feed and keep the kids occupied. Our kids loved collecting eggs every morning. A must do experience for Sydney families!!

We had a 4-night stay at Morvern Valley and we had a wonderful time! The Alecia cottage is very charming and has everything you need to feel at home. Julie also created history and information books - must read! There are a lot of animals and they were lovely, they would come up to you for treats and pats! We especially liked the horse, ponies, donkeys, rabbits and goat. Location is excellent - short walk to the village and very near the national park for bushwalks. We were also able to have a great chat with Jason. I highly recommend this place!

During my lovely stay at morvern valley the drive from Sydney was so pleasant surrounded by birds and lushes green acreage and definitely a place to go, to get out of the crazy city for a week upon arriving at the cottage it was perfect green paddocks and even two donkeys at the fence when going into Alecia cottage. It was the most beautiful and cozy place I’ve been to.
All the antiques just fit in the most delux way the towels were all set perfectly and we even got some home made cookies that made my family feel so special, the beds are made so perfect the cottage brings me back to my childhood the cottage is extremely clean and all the little details are just divine the paddock is filled with so many animals that come up for pats and treats they are well behaved this is definitely a place that should be on your bucket list and definitely a place to return .

We stayed in the Original Homestead Cottage and when the owners say it was one of the original cottages in Bundanoon since 1896, they literally mean it! If you come expecting a modern "themed" cottage with brand new things that are "vintage designed", you will be very, very surprised.

Most of the contents are actually real furniture and displays from the Victorian times, like the bed posts, curtains, and cabinets. So it's not just "vintage", it's literally a cottage that's been carefully maintained since it was built.

We weren't expecting a genuine old cottage, so were initially taken aback by everything, especially the heavy fabric curtains and sofas that didn't sit too well with our dust allergy.

However, the owners have been amazing before/during/after our stay, checking in with us and making sure everything was alright. They have a lot of love for the cottages, its animals, and their guests.

They've put plenty of books, toys, DVDs and games in the living room so we were well entertained even though it was raining during our stay. There's a lovely breakfast recipe book they printed and left in the kitchen. The bathroom is newly renovated with a lovely vintage design.

Best of all, they've prepared a wide range of gumboots of various sizes for our large group of 5 adults + 3 kids, which is so very thoughtful of them because we did not think of bringing our own.

Our kids thoroughly enjoyed collecting eggs from the chicken coop and feeding carrots and corn to the animals. It was a very genuine rural farm life experience for us all, complete with a massive Huntsman spider living in the kitchen, animal poop everywhere across the field, and roosters crowing in the morning.

If you are not a fan of the Victorian times country life, don't come expecting it to be a fancy and high end experience! Movern Valley is one of the very few places you can experience a true blue farm life, and is definitely a heritage place we should treasure.

This is the perfect holiday for parents and grandparents with kids. There are so may animals right at your front door for kids to pet, play with and feed with no fences between them. All the animals are docile and friendly. My 7 and 9 year old grandchildren had the most fantastic time and were out the door at 6 each morning to greet them all. 9 year old also loved collecting eggs from our own chook pen and we had great fun toasting marshmallows in our open fire at night. Cottage beds were comfy and there were heaps of games in the cupboard for kids and adults to play. Ny grandkids are already asking nana to take them again soon please.

My family of 4, with 2 kids, stayed in Morvern Valley early Dec 2019 for a few days. We really enjoyed our stay. The farm was quiet with lots of animals to keep the kids entertained. The cottage, Braedon cotrage, was well equipped and large for us. The owners has also put in alot of effort in the details of the decorations of the cottage and had even printed a nice book to describe all the animals in their farm, as well as nearby attractions!

We will definitely stay at Morvern Valley if we visit Sydney area again!

Awesome location. Stayed in the original homestead In late November. Lovely quality towels, breakfast basket included bacon eggs tomato's bread milk weetbix and pancakes. The accommodation was spotless and my children were so excited with the animals. Planning on going back during winter school holidays with the family.

We had a fantastic holiday at Morvern Valley, the kids (12, 8 & 8) particularly loved engaging with the animals and feeding them, and collecting the eggs each morning from the chook house. The bush walks on the property were great fun too, as well as the gold panning. We'll be back for sure! Thanks Julie!

Our Family had a wonderful time in Morvern Valley Original Homestead! Such an old world experience from all the antique memorabilia to the already lit fireplace and generous breakfast basket on arrival all while wonderful relaxing music played in the background. I was delighted at the Original homestead's attention to detail with things like the beautiful clean, fresh linens and decor and the hosts who make all this and more possible are a delightful couple who are clearly passionate about their farm stay cottages in ensuring they cater to all types of guests whether it may be couples and or family with children and pets so that they may have an amazing memorable experience while interacting with a variety of friendly farm animals. Also enjoyed chatting with the hosts both over the phone and while they were out in the paddocks feeding Alpacas, Horses, Giant Rabbits, Donkeys and Ponies. This farm is a credit to all their hard work and dedication. It truely is a farmstay experience like no other and I would highly recommend Movern Valley Farm Cottages to anyone wanting an absolutely magical experience.
