Thank goodness the locals said no to a caravan park and created this beautiful place instead. Absolutely delightful to walk through. Pure native habitat for flora and fauna. So peaceful. Well done to the dedicated volunteers.

Port Stephens best kept secret!
It’s a lovely place to enjoy nature and entertain the kids while getting in some gentle exercise.
It’s about a 30-min easy walk loop. Lots of beautiful plants, though no koalas were spotted unfortunately. Plenty of places to take a photo, rest your legs or dip in the water.
Very friendly and helpful volunteers add warmth to the place too.

Very nice reserve providing access to the bush via board walks. Pleasant walk and lots to see. No koalas spotted so definitely coming back. Scones were the highlight on Wednesdays only.

Lovely little walk through the bush. You can grab a map from the visitor centre. Trails bring you down to the boardwalk along the water. You can spend time on the sand or have a swim. We stopped at a lovely little park, with some covered tables as part of the walk.

Fantastic walk in this natural habitat with sea views on part of the walk.
This habitat is run by volunteers and we thank them for such a well kept tranquil space.

Was well worth visiting. We spotted a koala right in the place the lovely man at the information area told us it would be. The walk is peaceful with many different types of birds singing. And when you lake your way around the treck there is a beautiful white sandy beach with a swing attached to an old tree that's fallen. A great photo opportunity. One of my favourite places to visit.

Love this spot, very pretty light thru the trees and by the water most of the day. I’ve seen koalas numerous times. Great to walk during low tide on the sand flats

Great for a nice walk through the trees with a nice waterfront as well, I would of gone for a dip if it were a little warmer on the day. The information centre is open until 3pm & the staff are very friendly. Free entry. Recommended for an enjoyable walk.

Amazing place! So happy I went there. Beautiful nature reserve to walk through and I was lucky enough to spot a koala on a tree directly in front of me. The staff is extremely friendly and gave a lot of information about koalas and other animals.

Our second visit. We came to do a bit more bird spotting. Not so many birds this time but we did see a koala. This a great spot with formed tracks and boardwalks. Dogs are allowed on leads and the bay is great or dogs ss ad children to paddle.

Didn't know this existed until a friend drove us there. Great place to walk around and plenty of seats and tables to have eats. Tracks go right to the water. A must to go and look around ....find a Koala and other native animals. Pack a lunch and spend the day. Don't miss this one. Tanilba Bay.
