Mermaids Cafe

Stayed at the Ramada Sunday and Monday 4th /5th Feb to attend a wedding at Fingal Bay and had breakfast two mornings at Mermaids during our stay.
A bug shout out to our waitress Lucy for looking after us both mornings and making sure we were taken care of.
Lucy was very friendly and caring and nothing was a bother. She even asked how we were, our plans during our stay, and where we were from. Thankyou Lucy for your professional friendly service. We will definitely be back to enjoy the delicious food, coffee, juices and great service

Beach front cafe. I thoroughly enjoyed the house made waffles! Super light and fluffy with delicious mascarpone cream on top and seasonal fruit. I'd definitely come back for the waffles!
There was such a generous serving of granola and yoghurt too with seasonal berries. Yum!

Lovely spot across the road from the beach with a chilled out and relaxed atmosphere. Great breakfast spot for the family and my boys loved their waffles. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked for breakfast and the coffee was great. Friendly staff as well.

Wonderful location, great staff, Abby is very beautiful always smiling and a very good soul. Other girls are awesome too. I appreciate my morning hot water for the time I was visiting the town. God bless you

Great location to pop in for a breakfast bite to eat in Shoal Bay.

The food was all delicious and served quickly. We had the Turkish Eggs, the Shakshuka and Waffles. All very good, tasty and washed down with a nice coffee.

The service is a little lacking, not because the staff but you order through a menu digital service which I find unhelpful as you do all the work and yet it asks you for tips.

That aside looking forward to another breakfast here.

Definitely deserves higher score than it currently scores but it might depend on the food options. We had the shakshuka eggs & ricotta pancakes, both were awesome, very well present & super tasty. Some of the other meals coming round looked average especially the smashed avo. Coffee was decent & what a great spot early in the morning before it gets too busy. Overall great option for early breakfast in Shoal Bay.

Not sure why the ratings are low, we had the buttermilk waffles and egg and bacon breakfast roll, both were delicious and the view out the windows was amazing. Or sit outside. The staff were friendly. Nice place for breakfast

Fabulous location overlooking the bay and the scones are the best in town for sure! Lovely coffee and tea as well. Hubby had the eggs benny and I had scrambled eggs on sourdough- both delicious. Definitely worth a visit for brekkie!
