Staff was so good, helpful and hillarious. They were very kid friendly and very kind to us, who were first time did the snorkel with sharks and stingrays so we were quite skeptical and scare, but we really enjoyable after all and really want to come back. The sharks and stingrays were very friendly and it well suited for kids. Make sure if you bring your kids you would be with them.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff, very helpful, amazing experience- can pay entrance fee and go ankledeep to feed or addwetsuitand sit down in the water (best for kids) or book an experience where you get to go into the deep part and go under the water with the animals. I did all the above and it was worth the money. Can easily spend half a day there. Climbing frame for children too. Will definitely be going back!

I came here for the first time ever as I’ve always like sharks and my mum like rays I live in Sydney and love the aquarium there and always wanted to swim in with the sharks but so expensive and saw they had shark and rays that have been rescued and to get in with them and leave so much I hadn’t even know. Was still the best top thing I’ve done here. Thank you guy you’s are amazing ! Keep doing what you’re doing ? (I’m also get a tattoo on Saturday here before I leave to commemorate this joy )

cool place and definitely worth it for the experience.
My son and daughter who aren't overly risk takers were patting the sharks and rays with the guidance of the lovely staff which says it all.

We had a fantastic day of learning and interacting with the sting rays, sharks and rays. They were all so beautiful and gentle. All the staff were wonderful and had so much knowledge and statistics to share. We had a chat with the owner on the way out and she shared even more information with us about a sustainable seafood app. Highly recommend visiting

What a truly fabulous experience, at one with nature, paddling with Ray's and Sharks is for me an experience of a lifetime and to top it all the staff were so caring and informative, not one member of staff looked like they didn't want to be there! The public who visited were very important but you could see for the love of these majestic creatures the staff had their safety and care first. A must visit ❤

Irukandji shark and ray centre is amazing! We went with no real expectations, thought with a 3.5 year old we’d be in and out within 45 mins max. We stayed for hours and loved every second of it! So many places advertise you can interact with the animals and it ends up being one pat as they bring them by. At Irukandji we literally got to be jn the water patting and feeding the rays and shakes for 40 minutes at a time every hour and 20 mins talk. The whole time we were there and on the way home we couldn’t stop saying how stoked we were with our trip.

Such a lovely centre for marine animal and conservation enthusiasts. The staff are all so committed and lovely. The talks are down to earth and informative and you get to pat a shark or a ray. Highly recommend the encounters. There is a shop to buy a momento to take home.

This is a great place to visit with kids. It was not school holidays so probably quieter than peak season. The staff were all so lovely and a number of different interactive and informative exhibits whilst keeping the animals safe. Sheree was really kind and patient in helping my 4 year old feel comfortable to feed the sharks. Thanks Sheree!

Great place for education on rays and sharks. We got there for the early bookings and glad we did as it gets busy quickly. Can get very close to these wonderful animals. Lovely seeing passionate staff and volunteers go about their business. Kasey was great for our interactive experience, and Marco was very patient allowing us to feed the baby sharks

Two of us came to Irukandji Shark & Ray Encounters whilst travelling down the coast on a road trip. We visited on a weekday so it wasn’t very busy. We were treated to an amazing experience in which we got to pat and feed the sharks and rays. The animal keepers, including one gentleman named Ben, were super knowledgeable and provided informative and interesting talks about the different types of sharks and stingrays at Irukandji. Thank you for the exciting experience. I would highly recommend this for families, couples and individuals interested in marine life.

Our family had an outstanding time here the other day. We lost track of time and spent most of the day enjoying talking to the staff about the sharks and rays. All the staff here were super friendly and you could tell they love what they do. There were cubicles to change into/out of wetsuits and a sitting area by the gift shop. There is no cafe, but we had packed a picnic and enjoyed sitting in the shade talking about all the fun we had.

Definitely will be returning here with our friends and family from overseas.

Amazing experience.

The staff were excellent! They went into depth about the sting rays and answered all our questions so well.

The sting rays were the stars of the show 100%

We stayed with the sting rays while there was a shark show and got nice one on one time with them.

They are like puppies of the sea, very friendly and interactive.

Loved our experience here, recommended 10/10.

Such an incredible place! Make sure you get the right place as there are two shark places! This one is amazing. The enclosures are so natural- i love seeing the enrichment and It's clear how much staff love the animals and their conservation work is amazing, not only do they have sea shelter- they're doing a zebra shark program to bring population numbers back up in the wild! Also if you go- be sure to keep an eye out for rocket. He was my favourite of the day!

Last week's visit was beyond amazing! The experience of feeding and interacting with the rays was incredible. The educational talks were not only interesting but also highly informative. The staff was exceptionally friendly and incredibly helpful throughout. Although I initially had some apprehensions about the stingrays, after engaging with them, I've developed a genuine fondness. I'm eagerly anticipating my return and can't wait to introduce this fantastic attraction to my family and friends!

At first I was really nervous and not sure how to act appropriately around the animals, however the staff assured me that they're very gentle and turned out we had the best experience here!!! Me and my partner got to cuddles the stingray and feed them too, when they did the show, they explained that we might eat stingray and shark when we bought fish and chips and that's a big shocked for me!!
We got to feed and be around zebra shark too.
Overall, we had an amazing time here, from the hospitality of the staff, and the experience we got!
They're currently expanding the place, can't wait to be back and get to experience more things! 😄

What an amazing place! The staff were so kind to let me in just before closing and still gave me the best experience even in such a short time. The guy working with the sharks clearly loves his job and cares for these animals a lot. He had some pretty cool facts about them too

This is such an incredible place!
My boys had the best time interacting with the sealife, namely the stingray and zebra sharks 🦈
I highly recommend people go to experience it themselves! It's absolutely amazing! 10/10 👌
