I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed by the quality of service and the freshness of their food. This establishment exceeded my expectations in every way and left me with a positive and memorable experience.

The selection of seafood is exceptional, with a wide variety of fish, shellfish, and crustaceans available. The quality of the seafood was evident by its fresh appearance. I'm thrilled to have found such a gem of a fishmonger, where the seafood is caught and prepared with care and attention to detail.

What stood out to me the most was the exceptional level of cleanliness and hygiene at the fishmonger. The seafood was beautifully displayed, and the premises were spotless. I felt confident in the quality of the seafood and the care taken to prepare it.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this fishmonger to anyone looking for fresh, high-quality seafood and excellent customer service. I will undoubtedly be returning soon to stock up on more delicious seafood.

Last weekend I just purchase from these guys the sweetest tasting prawns Ive ever eaten. and I have just come back now a year later and the prawns are still as good. Cameron

Went there twice for their king prawns from the sea. It was delicious. And people were very welcoming

I can’t speak highly enough of the quality and freshness of the seafood on offer. We have already been twice whilst on holidays because we couldn’t get enough. The first day for lunch we sampled the local school prawns from Tuggerah Lakes (they mention the provenance- how good is that?!), they were a little small but so sweet and salty and moreish. The large Sydney rock oysters were incredible! So creamy, minerally and delectable without a hint of aftertaste. To top off the most decadent lunch ever we had a cooked mud crab. It was the freshest, tastiest crab ever - the fleshy claw meat easily came away from the shell without the help of a cracker and it was so sweet and tasty with the perfect amount of saltiness. For dinner that night we took home two Bream. The fish cleaning service was the best I have ever experienced. Not a scale to be seen when we got them home. They were obviously super fresh - clear eyes, firm flesh, zero fishiness. They cooked up beautifully. The next day required another visit, the school prawns were from Stockton Bight this time. A little bigger and slightly less salty than the day before and so sweet and fresh tasting. More oysters - because holidays - and they were just as good as the day before. Swordfish fillets for dinner this time. Again so fresh, no hint of the brown meat that you sometimes find on swordfish. They were so tender and juicy.. Loved the service and the quality of the seafood. I will, without doubt, recommend this place to everyone I know who is visiting Nelson Bay.

Big round of applause for #nelsonbayfishmarket for the best sweetest juiciest King Prawns I’ve had in quite some time. Having worked for Sydney Fish Market for over 16 I still hunt down the best. The shop was clean and well laid out. The service was amazing, they packed with ice. Owned and run by the fishers. We will be back!!

I have visited this shop with my godson many times to buy fish fillets and prawns and i have allways been well served with very fresh seafood from a well presented display window .

This whole area supply Sydney. Especially oysters. Very fresh and so delicious.
I often try to drive from Sydney every 6 month and stay for few nights in this part of Nelson bay and buys tones of seafoods back to Sydney. Its devine

Everytime I visit Port Stephens and Nelson Bay, this is a one must stop for the fresh oysters. If you are fond fresh sea food yes this the place where you get the best.

Amazing custimer service honestly the gentleman with the mustache was lovely and helpful giving us advice on where to go what to eat.

His prawns are so fresh and juicy & the shop was immaculate !

We have been to this store several times and couldn't fault what we have purchased to date, all has been a reasonable price and fresh in comparison to other stores I have tried. Staff are friendly too
