Newcastle & Port Stephens Game Fish Club

On holiday from NZ and we were recommended to pay this place a visit. We were not disappointed. Awesome views. We ordered the Calamari stack our friends had the seafood basket. The food was delish!!!!! Amenities were clean and tidy.

Netty. Was. Here. Always a fabulous place and location for a meal with family & friends. I had the extra large calamari which was great for a light lunch to share for two.

It was great the scotch fillet steak was good the sea food platter was a lot with fries but yes I was craving steak and that scotch fillet hit the spot.

Nice view try to go before nightfall.

Wonderful place to take the family.
The food was delicious and good portion sizes.
I highly recommend the garlic prawn starter and natural oysters.
The calamari stack, fish and chips and chicken schnitzel were delicious as well.
And
An added bonus is the gorgeous view of the shoal bay beach at sunset.

At first I did not realize this was open to the public, seemed like a members only place. But open for everyone. Really good fish and chips and calamari stack, and comes a salad.
FYI they do not come to your table for order, you walk up to a station to order.
Also, it maybe a good idea to make a reservation on busy days.

I definitely come back here for steak. Cook too perfection. Service with a smile.

Great to have such an amazing club as my new local and by the seaside. Absolutely amazing food and service! Tuesdaii special with Barra cooked to perfection, the most crispy chips! with a fresh slaw plus a drinkii for just $20! I know where to go for a yummii yummii din din! What a great deal! Plus only a a couple mins walk from my new apartment! 😉🙌🙌👍👍🙏🙏❤🦄🌈🌈

We couldn't believe the seafood platter was only $80. Hot and fresh seafood and a few different options for everyone to enjoy. Great service at the bar and from the wait staff. The view is absolutely stunning.

Great experience. My partner and I shared a meal. calamari chips and salad. Cost around $30 and we couldn't jump over it. I've done this challenge about 8 times now where I've shared a meal there and I'm yet to be able to say I finished it. Not only are the meals amazing in size but equally amazing in the quality. Put that with that amazing view you get from the bolcony and I can happily say that this place is one of the few I recommend to everyone. If your ever in the area treat yourself to a meal there

Went for dinner with the family. Was quite busy and very noisy but to be expected for a Saturday night
Meals were great- Neptune schnitzel looked great- I had the rump steak and it was also good

Food comes out quick even when the place is packed. Seafood was fresh..you cant really go wrong with fried seafood basket. Prices were reasonable for the location. I also like that you can get small or large dishes. Great view outside if you can get it

Lovely little club on the main street and Shoal Bay. Food times are lunch 12-2 and dinner 6-8. We love this place and make a point of visiting anytime we visit Port Stephens and the surrounding area.

Highly recommend them seafood platter for two at $62 it has everything. The fish is all fresh and local and tastes amazing. It has fresh prawns, fresh local oysters, fresh breaded and fried calamari, fresh battered hoki and barramundi as well as battered prawns with a heaping of chips at the bottom!

The drinks are very reasonably priced too and the staff are lovely and friendly.

The seating area offers fantastic views across Shoal Bay and it can get extremely busy so highly recommend getting in early!

Great little club. Upstairs, there is a lift available.
We had small serves of Calamari Stack & Chicken Parmigiana, and that was enough.
Calamari was delicious.
Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Poker machines also there if you feel so inclined.
Balcony dining also available, lovely on a nice day

What a fabulous location ! Staff were very friendly and the meals fantastic. If you're feeling hungry have the seafood plate. The grilled fish on it was delicious and the calamari tender. Look forward to our next visit

Doing a great job with C19, not a great big menu, and that means what they let out the kitchen is good, real good ! The staff are friendly, but its a little noisy, all in all a hidden gem. Thx

Seafood platter was excellent, great service and friendly staff. Has a lift.so convenient for wheelchair access. ♿

Compliments to the chef tonight, as my Salmon was mouth watering, crispy fresh salad and good old fashion Aussi chips were cooked to perfection. My mum had the calamari and commented that it was super yummy. Icing on the cake was the pink sunset on the balcony. Highly recommend, such an amazing seafood spot!
