Dolphin House Korean Restaurant

Great Korean restaurant. Really happy to of found this place. Authentic meals, quick service. Byo wine or beers and soft drinks available for purchase. We came late on sat night (hence not many people around in the pics). Prices were fair circa $19 for mains and portion sizes perfect. Parking easy.

Very cool restaurant with outside seating for korean bbq (would be amazing in summer!). Great food selection with all sets coming with entrees and generous servings of meats. Both the non marinated and marinated meats were perfect!

Service was quick and efficient and very accommodating, saw a family have a table specially made for them due to how packed the restaurant was.

Special shout out to the Kimchi, gotta be the best in and around Sydney!

We walked in and the table was fully booked. But the waitress and boss were very nice to sort it out for us. The food is good with a lot of side dishes. Had a great time.

When we couldn't get into some of the more contemporary restaurants we tried Dolphin House. What a stroke of luck! The family enjoyed a delicious BBQ dinner! We'll definitely go again 👍

We ordered mix 3 set. It’s really yummy. Definitely we will be back again.

Best Korean restaurant I've had! Very lucky to have dolphin house here in litttle nelson, owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly too. Bibimbap tonight tasted awesome! Definitely have to try this if you are visiting nelson bay!

We enjoyed a delicious meal here. Food is fresh and tasty. We ordered a mix of bbq and non bbq. All we’re great! We really enjoyed sitting outside, it was protected from the wind but gave us a lovely view of Nelson bay. We look forward to visiting again on our next trip!

Absolutely sensational food and service. The Wagyu is the highlight; wonderfully succulent and tasty. Very well priced and in a great location. As good, if not better, than any Korean BBQ Sydney can dish up. In terms of how to treat diners, hospitality students should watch the maitre’d James in action to see what top-notch service looks like. Very highly recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic place all round great Family friendly restaurant! We arrived group of 12 & from the very first moment we felt so welcome! Appreciated even! Food was so flavoursome, fresh and abundant! The owner (sorry I forgot your name) was checking on us all night and refilling our table on request. A few of us had never eaten Korean bbq before and we loved it!!
This family business is truly fantastic! All round great place to eat!! Food comas had by all!

Fantastic service and fresh food. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I did notice the one negative comment though, and being a long term customer I thought I would clarify.

My family is not Korean (in fact, our family is not even Asian) and when we first dined there a few years ago we noticed you had to make a booking. We also were confused too when there were a handful of empty tables but were told they were booked out. We learnt that the food is prepared according to the bookings and that they don’t keep food for more than a certain period of time as they want to deliver on freshness. Next time: BOOK and if they don’t answer, send them a text, that’s what we did.

Our family of 3 adults and one teenage child enjoyed a wonderful selection of food from the sets available on the menu on our last evening in Nelson Bay during our summer holiday - Jan 2nd 2020. The starters and mains were delicious. Can't wait for the Korean chicken starter to be added to the main meal menu for our next visit to Nelson Bay! Excellent helpful and friendly service. Be careful of hotplates for self cooking options with small children.

Unassuming decor, simple menu and just SO GOOD! The menu is small compared to the typical korean restaurant in Sydney, but what they do serve, they do very well. Everything was delicious - from 6 delicious hot and cold entree dishes, our thick cut bbq wagyu, and banana fritter dessert. Plus excellent service too! Thanks for a great meal and we will be back again!

Truly authentic Korean BBQ. Best you can get in the region. Try Bulgogi which comes with potato noodles. The sauce is honey soy based and the best I had in Australia. Worth another visit. BTW, there signature is beef broth so best to try it too if you know the taste.

Really nice Korean food, excellent service and value!! My husband and I shared the one of set menus and $48 ($24 each) was a 3 course meal and every dish was delicious. Can confirm, am planning to be a regular.

We had a fantastic korean bbq dinner this evening. All food came out of the kichen quickly. The entrees were so tasty and meats were high quality and fresh.
Friendly and efficient service. Ill be back to try more items on the menu

Amazing food, and it’s in the perfect location for a relaxed lunch, up from all the hustle. The sets are particularly good, and a generous number of delicious sides are free, so you always get more than expected. Very impressed!
