The Wood Oven - Nelson Bay

The food was just amazing. We had the garlic bread and chips for starters and ordered the vegetarian,cheese and pepperoni pizzas and chicken pasta. Every dish was delicious. The sizes are super generous. Definitely recommend this place for a lovely dinner overlooking the marina

I visited this place coz it’s one of water-front restaurants. The staff welcomed us and guided to an outdoor area with nice view.
I easily accessed QR code on the table, and the staff served drinks and pizza accordingly.
Taste was good and my husband was also happy with drinks. We had enjoyed holiday vibes and took pictures with boats from the terrace.
I highly recommend this restaurant if anyone is planning to relax and eat at the waterfront.

So we looked at lots of options and landed in this place - from feeling really. We were totally right. First of all - best best best view, and then the food was fantastic. I had the king prawn fettuccine with capers which (which they did with oil instead of cream), was amazing and my husband had the vegetarian with pepperoni- - I drank Chardonnay and Paul drank coopers. There are plenty of offering but this is the real love in the food place. And way better priced than the other over $$ than others . Highly recommend.

Everyone was really welcoming when we walked in. The ambience is gorgeous and the views are amazing. Thier service was really quick and equally delicious was the food. The staff also went above and beyond for me and made me an iced latte on a super hot afternoon which made my day. I can't recommend them enough 🫶

I surprised the owner with an order of 15 family pizzas and 6 pastas for 6:30 on New Years Eve. Placed the order about 5 hours before. She was pretty fully booked, but I talked her into it. Great pizzas and pastas! We will definitely be back! Thanks again. You run a tight ship!!

I took my fiance to the wood oven for our anniversary dinner. Our waitress Maggie was wonderful and very accomodating. She is like a breath of fresh air. The pizza was also to die for! We'll definitely be returning!

From the moment we arrived everything was 1st class. Garlic cheesy bread and bruscetta pizza for entrees. Then for mains there were pizza and pasta.
Between the 4 of us we ended up with a few slices or pizza and a small portion of pasta in take away containers.
Staff were great, scenery was awesome and the food was spectacular and the beer was cold.
Highly recommend. And make sure you make a booking, very popular.

Great atmosphere- clean and tidy.
Staff member extremely friendly, polite and welcoming to the venue.
We had the prawn pizza and supreme pizza - both delicious.

Absolutely delicious, had the king prawn fettuccini, needed a little salt but delicious. Service was great! Seagull stole a peice of garlic bread and was offered another promptly!

Nearly gave this place a miss due to some of these reviews but I’m glad we didn’t!
Had a really enjoyable pizza outside with views out over the water. The base was a bit meh but it was still very tasty - plus they have the option of vegan cheese which is much appreciated. The bowl of chips was generously sized and sooo crunchy. Service was really friendly and fast. Was a great lunch with the fam :)

Beautiful service, meals and location. Ravioli and Bolognaise were delicious.

We eat here every year when on holidays. Staff are always friendly, meals are fresh and severed quickly.

Lovely spot sitting out on the verandah overlooking the Marina. Excellent pizza and salad.
