It was a great experience, with lovely drive from Melbourne, can be very relaxing if you love driving through the countryside. It’s 200KM from Melbourne, my family love the drive, we start at 7:30AM from Melbourne and reach there at 10:00 which is the opening time of the Fauna Park. We had our breakfast at three park next to the parking area, they have plenty of Parking 🅿 on site, very clean and tidy entrance with a cafe with a wide range of snacks and very clean toilets, then you enter the park, filled with a lot of surprises, if you are going there for bird shows or animal encounters I think it’s not a good idea, as they have many available in the city with better experience and price, they have cassowary and kola encounters which is pricing between 35 to 45 dollars for each encounter. Only free show is at replies habitat. Have couple of free encounters with couple of different types of cockatoos and native parrots 🦜, got black tail cockatoos which are endangered species, also my kids enjoy the time with wallabies and kangaroos 🦘 you can feed them and pet them, over all it’s great day trip we loved it

We have been here now twice since they joined Zoos Victoria. It is a lovely park. It is very large with lots of open spaces maybe, they will get other exhibits, or to make new, natural environment exhibits for the animals. We enjoyed the feeding of the Cassowaries. It's one of the paid encounters and it is worth the money.

Does it get any better than feeding a cassowary? Well, in my case it did, because my partner proposed to me afterwards and the park staff were amazingly supportive and celebrated with us. We also got to hand feed and pet some kangaroos! It's a lovely place with lovely people and lovely animals :)

Feeding Kangaroos is in my bucket lists and I finally made it here. Very nice little zoo with not too many options of animals to see but worth to visit! $25 for entry and $2/bag to feed the animals.

We also had some meal, drinks and ice cream at the cafe inside! Really a great experience for me. 🥰

This is a great place to visit. Beautiful park filled with amazing aussie wildlife and the staff were very nice & amazing to talk with. We travelled almost 2hrs to visit Kyabram Fauna Parl, since it was recently added as part of Zoo's Victoria, we had an opportunity for us to use our membership to visit.
The walk around was peaceful and all the exhibits weren't all bunched together, very well spaced apart so we can enjoy the nature walk inbetween.
We bought the pallets to feed the birds/roos but unfortunately, none of them were interested but that isn't a big deal. Kids had a ball.
The exciti g part was going into their bird avery and a Galah decided to land and perch itself on our shoulders. Very friendly bird indeed.
Definitely will visit again soon.

Beautiful place with healthy looking animals. We loved the most snake talking part where zoo keeper let the snake wander around a bit while giving us lots of information about reptiles.

To be totally honest I would have voted this place 4 stars, but I wanted to do my part to offset the many people on here giving this place a 1 star purely based on its proximity to themselves.

I cannot imagine the entitlement one must feel to think "it's not close to me" is a valid worthwhile criticism that other people reading would find value in.

With that said I very much liked the reptile exhibit, the birds, and it very much lived up to the expectations I had given its location (ie: if you travelled 2 hours to see "Melbourne's *other* zoo" I'd say the problem is you).

Kyabram Fauna Park is home to more than 600 native Australian animals including koalas, dingoes, kangaroos, cassowaries, wombats, wallabies, echidna, emus, flying-foxes and quolls. Kangaroos, emus and wallabies are free-ranging.

Kyabram Fauna Park's reptile house includes native snakes, lizards and turtles. The Nestle Invertebrate Exhibition includes spiders, scorpions and stick insects.

Many native birds call the Park home including cockatoos, owls, finches, and bush-stone curlew. The Park has a large walk-in aviaries as well as extensive wetlands that are home to many species of water bird.

Plenty of parking places, food , kids play area and etc

Haven't visited for about 20 years but popped in while in town recently. We had an amazing time!! Nice quiet space with lots of hands on interaction with most of the animals. So glad to see some updating happening around the park, it's looking great. The enclosures were all nice and clean and the animals appeared healthy and happy. Will definitely start to make this a regular visit when we are in town!

Nice place to see native animals in Australia.

They also sell souvenirs in animal-shape at a reasonable cost. So we can buy them to give others as gift.

The atmosphere here is so fresh.

There is also playground for children outside.

I'm so glad I saw the signpost from the main road and detoured to visit. Friendly staff and happy looking animals. The dingos wagged their tails when I said Hi. It's well worth a visit, especially if you have children, but I enjoyed it, too. It covers a surprisingly large area and includes a playground, kiosk and souvenir shop.

Good wildlife park with plenty of native animals. Very relaxed , not crowded with free ranging emus. Plenty of birdlife as well.
