Bakery cafe Tea Gardens

We always come here for morning tea when in the area. Service is good and the food lovely. We usually sit outside and enjoy the views.

Really lovely bakery with very friendly staff :) I had the creamy chicken pie which was delicious and the jam cookie was yum.

Informal but simply great.
The nicest beef & bacon pie and bacon & egg quiche we have had so far.
Have to use take away paper bags to eat the pies. They tasted so good that we didn’t really mind.

I visited this bakery multiple times during my trip to Hawks Nest whilst staying at my friends beach house. There were two ladies who were making coffee (one who said she visited Manly the other week) which made my day. They were genuinely so sweet and their bubbly personalities combined with the great coffee prompted me to bring all my friends to get coffee and pastries from here the next morning. Will be visiting when I come back and hope to see them!!

Rum by a family who are polite and friendly. Good view. The big breakfast had everything you need. Lacked beans but made up for it with sausageu and hash browns. Good coffee, chill vibes. Tea Gardens at its finest.

We got the ferry from Nelson Bay. Probably would have headed for the pub but it was pretty busy (2 ferries and lunch time). I'm glad coz the pies here were great. Quiche, party pie, mushy pea/potato pie and two medium coffees $25. Generous sized pies and tasty fillings. I went back in for a really moist carrot cake (more like hummingbird cake).Nice outlook. Several tables overlooking the river.
Ooh, on the way back to the ferry (via the pub) we saw a couple of dolphins.

Great Bacon and egg roles,really good coffee and if you still have room get a little macadamia tart. You,ll be ready to continue your journey north. I apologise for know photos I ate it I just couldn't stop long enough.

Great service, nice hot and tasty chai latte and delicious desserts. We had the apple turnover, passionfruit slice, chocolate fudge macadamia brownie and the caramel tart. Fresh cream on the desserts, not the awful mock cream. Good sized portions. We got the 4 slices between our family of 6 and had a little taste of each one. The favourite was the caramel tart with 3 votes, 2 votes for the choc fudge macadamia and one vote for the passionfruit slice. One person said the passionfruit slice could be a bit more passionfruit-y, but I loved it. Great base as well.
Plenty of parking. Air conditioning and a couple of tables inside.

Ordered Big brekkie, sausage roll and coffees. Bill said the sausage roll was good. The coffee was great and my big brekkie was huge. Everything on the brekkie (eggs, bacon, sausages, hashbrowns, mushrooms, spinach, tomato, toast) was abundant and beautifully cooked. Probably enough for two or one very hungry big eater. Excellent value for $20. Sourdough toast was tasty and it was the best scrambled eggs I have had in ages. The lady serving us was nice. Location across the road from river perfect.

Great service meat pies to die for plus good variety of fresh sandwiches and coffee's. Dogs ok outside right on beachfront, just a short walk from ferry.

The best rum ball l have ever tasted, so moist. I give it 10 stars.

The service was wonderful, friendly and welcoming. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, highly recommend to stop in and enjoy the food, could not fault in any way.

Avo bread toast and baked beans on toast were yumm. Perfect place for the breakfast. Good place for coffees and freshly baked breads.

Found this little gem. Great coffee scones and fantastic service from the young guy at the counter. Do yourself a favor and pop in for something.
