Byron Bay Eco Cruises & Kayaks

My teenage daughter and I loved this cruise so much on the Brunswick River, I felt compelled to share our experience! The crew are so fun and knowledgeable, that even though I've lived in the area for almost 20 years, I learned so much whilst onboard! Delicious food and drinks, fantastic scenery, relaxing and fun, we totally recommend the awesome Sunset River Cruise to people of all ages!

What a beautiful way to spend 2 hours. The sunset river cruise was beautiful and Rob and Dream (staff) were lovely.
The sea eagles are a sight to behold.
I could have spent another 2 hours on the boat easily.
Being local, I will definitely be doing this again sometime.

We had our work Christmas party on the Byron Bay Eco Cruise and found the whole experience an absolute delight! Simon and Rob were fantastic hosts, mixing fabulous cocktails and offering their extensive local knowledge. We had a blast and felt the cruise was great value. We had a great time and could not recommend the cruise more highly.

A very pleasant way to start the day! Simon and Gavin were excellent hosts, making local coffee and serving up some delicious cakes. We took our ten month old baby and they were very accommodating and helpful, even supplying some toys. Brunswick river is very beautiful and the ecological commentary was great. We spotted a range of birdlife and plenty of fish. Highly recommended.

We went on the morning cruise & were very happy. Although we are regulars to Brunswick Heads, the cruise offered a different aspect of this beautiful part of Australia. The staff are friendly & informative & willing to help with anything we needed or wanted. And the views of the different parts of the river are amazing. Picture perfect.

First up, the staff on the tour were brilliant and made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable! They were informative, thoughtful and accommodating.
We did the morning cruise and first went towards the ocean and saw lots of sea life, fish and rays.
The cruise up the river was serene and we saw lots of bird life and learned a lot about the local environment, wildlife and history.
Morning tea was lovely and coffee (local new) was great. I would recommend this tour!

I’ve wanted to do the river cruise for some time and finally got to enjoy it today in delightful sunshine. Great to learn so much about Brunswick Heads, the Brunswick River and lots of information about trees, birdlife, fish etc in the area in a friendly relaxed atmosphere with the absolute best yummy brownies EVER for morning tea. Our little well behaved dog was welcomed on board - a bonus when staying in a caravan park. Totally recommend this cruise to people of all ages.

Beautiful relaxing cruise along the river from Brunswick Heads. Our guides Simon and Rob were very friendly and knowledgeable. The cruise was very family friendly, 4yo son enjoyed himself.

The cruise was a great learning adventure giving us great insight into the development of Byron Bay. It was great to learn about the volcanic eruptions that lead to fertile soil, the rainforests along the river banks and how the back fires were burnt to clear space and enrich the soil for farming. The bird species native to the region and Australia was also great to learn about.

Last but definitely not least, it was great to experience the beauty of mother nature. The beaches and their warm crystal clear waters and clean sand was amazing and why most people go to Byron Bay. However, it was great to take the time for the river cruise which gives the background for how Byron Bay developed into what it is today and the choices of maintaining such an Eco-friendly place for not only the locals but all visitors.

We had the most amazing day with Simon and the team. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the dock for a very informative, serene cruise up the Brunswick River, treated to a beautiful morning tea and lunch. Then off to Crystal Castle for the afternoon and topped the day off with sunset at the Byron Lighthouse with local fruits and bush tucker. We could not have asked for better service from a kind, funny, intelligent tour guide. Thanks again Simon from Suzie and Claire, we'll be back!

Honest Review, I took the Sunset Cruise the Staff onboard were Gavin and Rob ,i was greeted by Rob and helped onto the boat and Gavin Gave a warm welcome too. They were both knowledgeable and pointed out all the birds we saw on the way and talked about Trees and local Wildlife. We were lucky and got to see Dolphins in the river!! The sunset cruise provided Wine or Beer and Snacks peanuts, crisps, soft drinks, When u board you are given some binoculars and a bird spotting book to use. The cruise lasted 1 hr 30mins. And the sunset was amazing we stopped on the river to watch it! i would definitely recommend the Sunset Cruise. I booked my tour at the Byron Bay Visitor Centre who recommended it to me.

Lovely 2 hour trip along the river, Informative friendly staff with local knowledge.
Saw eagles, ospreys, kingfishers and a turtle.
Morning tea delicious, lovely cakes.

Very informative and such a lovely crew! Found out so much about an area I'd lived in for years! Good excursion.

Went on this morning and the owner operator was lovely, knew the local area well. Spotted eagles and various birds and fish. You can sit up the top or under cover below. Out the front on the bench was a great spot. Bang on 2 hours. Had binoculars for use. If it would have been full, would have been tight. But about 10 was a great number. Had tea, coffee, cake, bikkies.

Byron Eco Cruises are a top rate, tour operator. I've been on the kayaking and sunset cruise and loved them both. You see loads of wildlife and the hospitality and commentary are excellent.

I booked SUP and kayak hire for the 2016 Mullumbimby to Brunswick paddle . Lorraine was a great help to me and my wife, she was kind and patient and had some fine suggestions. I recommend this company for their solid communication and customer support skills.

A sensational morning cruise of the river I've lived beside for many years. The information was great. The scenery spectacular. I felt exhilarated afterwards. Highly recommend.
