Evans Lookout Parking Area

Okay, I walked from Blackheath Station, following bush trails as much as possible to arrive at Evans Lookout and more precisely, the carpark. I saw how much revamping and improvements were completed and the new layout.
It is excellent! NPWS are doing a great job.
I remember how the whole precinct used to be, and this is in my opinion so much better!
There’s no way for vehicles to get all the way to the lookout, it’s seating and facilities now. A pathway needs to be followed from the carpark, now extended with clearly marked parking spaces. I believe even coaches are able to negotiate the new roundabout, it’s certainly large enough. Oh yes, there’s a good selection of the essential toilets too.
Overall it’s a vast improvement that will serve the needs of a lot of people into the future.

The best kept secret of the Blue Mountains! This is honestly one of the best lookouts and walking tracks we found during our stay. Make the effort and see this hidden beauty!

Amazing views but the facilities are quite worn down, old. A hidden park not that crowded as many other sites in the area.

This is by far one of the most underrated lookouts in the Blue Mountains. The view is spectacular and uninterrupted by hoards of people. Truly a place to stop!

It's a standard (free) carpark. There's a bit of a bumpy road to get there.
