Mei’s Chinese restaurant

On an Easter weekend it can be tricky to work out which restaurants are open. A walk along Dean street is where the action is. Thankfully we stumbled upon Mei's. The ginger chicken had a great hit of fresh ginger and perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. Extra bonus was no celery. The chicken chow mein had a richer smokier taste and the crunchy noodles were delicious. Alas there was celery. Only open on the Saturday of the long weekend so it was just meant to be. Be aware if mobility is an issue there are some tables by the entrance but bathrooms are up some steps.

Lobbed for dinner 7.30pm 17/04/24. Had the best Satay Prawns ever. TBH my partner and I have been quite a few times for meals and this restaurant is our favourite. Well done Stacey & Harvs. 🍽

Affordable pricing of the menu & good meal portions that leave you content and full. Easily recommend Mei’s as a top Chinese restaurant in the Albury/Wodonga area. 5/5 stars! ☺

Almost completely satisfied. Food was good and the waiter (albeit seemingly the only one working in the whole place, quite a pity) was very friendly. Very spacious and quiet, though the jukebox seemed to turn on at random. My only gripe would be the lack of staff, also mentioned above. It seemed to take a while (I'd say about twenty minutes) to start getting our food served, which I'm sure could be cut down if they had another chef in the kitchen. The lack of waiters made easy requests (such as another bottle of water) take a while. Nonetheless, great restaurant, would definitely recommend.

The food is absolutely fantastic and price's are probably best you will find in the district and the place looks wonderful .

Food was fresh and tasty with good sized portions. Veges cooked through nicely, large prawns, meat tender, good choices on menu. Clean restaurant and friendly service! Will definitely be back.

I was blown away by the customer service here. I ordered via Menulog and the driver forgot to grab the drink I’d purchased. The owner called me to let me know what had happened and asked me if I’d mind sharing my address with her because her husband would drop it in for me on his way to the supermarket! Both the owner and her husband were incredible to deal with, the proactive customer service was so refreshing and stand out, and the food (especially the vegetarian fried rice and spring rolls) was delicious. This is a restaurant you can feel safe ordering from because they genuinely care about their customers ♥

My family and I ordered 30 meals for takeout. The lovely man working closed the store and turned off his menulog orders just to cook our meals!

He gave us a large box to carry all our food as well. not to mention, when we were walking down the street, he came running just to give us a couple sauces!

He was welcoming and hardworking and we couldn’t appreciate his services enough!

The food was absolutely amazing and my family devoured it all.
(And for someone who is vegetarian who struggles to find good meals, I was highly impressed)

We usually avoid Chinese food and opt for Vietnamese or Thai as in the past we've found Chinese to be all the same. Bland. I have to say I was very impressed with Mei’s on Dean as this is the best Chinese food I've had since I can remember. We all had a variety of dishes and the vegies were fresh and crisp, meals came out steaming hot and very tasty. This is definitely on my list of favourites.

Got a feed tonight and I have to say, this is some of the greatest Chinese food I’ve ever had. Excellent service from the young bloke at the front, would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new Chinese restaurant.
