Peaceful camping area - not many campers on the Friday and no one but us on Saturday and Sunday. Wonderful tranquil experience amongst nature.

No toilet facilities, no power, no internet just nature. Can't get any better than that.

Please remember to take all your rubbish with you. Don't ruin this beautiful area for the resident wildlife or others visiting.

BY THE WAY
Somebody just called my phone, sneezed, coughed and then hung up.

I'm getting sick of these cold-calls

(Now that is funny that is - come on people)

One of the cleanest campsites I've been to, even the drop toilets are clean. Didn't feel like flies were going to go flying up past my legs or through my leg should I say?.

Stayed here with the kids for a couple of night after Easter rush had gone. Excellent campsite next to a great little creek. Plenty of spots to choose from. Bring your own firewood.

There is ALOT of European Wasps & Blue bottle flies (the wasps aren't an issue if you leave them be, just check shoes & opened cans. Having a smoky fire helps with them too!) & flies can be mitigated by aeroguard & the camp fire too.
Visited during Labour Day weekend.
Site only had around 6 other groups camping there at the time (3 day weekend).
Ground run along a nice brook/river but those close spots usually get taken first. There is however plenty of room else where if direct river access isn't required.
I'd recommend bringing your own wood for fires as ground wood is sparse unless you feel like heavy lifting (see image 2).
Image 1, was our site on the west of the grounds (upriver)
Image 3 - truth or dare game, had to make a hat out of TP & post it on social media so yall are welcome.

Beware of the closest toilet being Licola (didn't bother us)
but apart from that 8/10 would stay again!

Great Spot! It has large, open and grassy campsites, with lots of access to the nearby river. The site also has access to a 'drop' toilet.
Normally this site is not very busy, however if you are heading up on a holiday weekend (e.g. Easter), expect it to be packed!

The only thing that let it down is that it is close to the main road, so you hear all the cars entering the National Park drive past, this can also be a good thing as it is the very first site on the way in and makes for an easy drive in any car type.

Very nice campsite for short or long stays and perfect for any type of weather.

The area is great, but the actual camping area is middling. There is a scarcity of flat ground that has not been trashed by four-wheel drives. Also, there are about 10 campsites in the following 10 kilometres of road; as this is the first one it tends to be the busiest - just keep going!
