Harvey Dam

Lovely place to visit especially if you have kids. Has BBQ facilities lovely gardens and shaded eating areas inc a kids playground.

Stunning location and dam. Great family facilities. BBQ, shade, ablutions and good car park. Nice to drive up to the viewing walk too!

Lovely walking trail and gardens.

I would visit this location every weekend and any other day to relax of I live very close by. I've visited many dams around WA, this is by far one of the best. Serene environment, very neat and tidy, peaceful, well managed with lot of facilities to accommodate different activities. Bbq, toilet, picnic seats, walking tracks, covered kid's playground, amphitheater, plenty parking lots, dam look out. Surely a place to visit.

Amazing view, family picnic point

Great visitor facilities with very clean and well kept toilets. The big surprise was the fantastic amphitheatre and timber stage. So unexpected there. Bouquets to the Harvey Shire and Watercorp.

Good for a stop off on your travels. You can choose to climb the steps or drive to the top to take in the views. Theres a great little park at the bottom with a cool little amphitheatre and play ground and also a wetland walk. An impressive dam with great views. Highly recommended if you are at or going through Harvey.

Went here twice. Friday when We cycled from Perth and came back on Sunday with family and friends. Very nice scenery 😍

A huge dam wall greets you as you enter the main part of this dam. Small playground for little kids. We visited further around (just over the bridge) where hubby tried again to catch a fish....neint 😒 vast waters with lots of ins and outs to explore if you have time. Little explore along the waters edge looking at different quartz rocks & fools gold with the kids. Our youngest (master 8) managed to fall into a huge mud ditch and get soaked up to his waist...was a little bit funny...🤣

Harvey Dam is a great day trip. The Amphitheatre section in front of the dam wall boasts beautifully manicured gardens, enclosed playground, BBQ facilities, lawn sections, gazebos with tables and chairs, a public toilet, and cemented paths and bridges, all suitable for prams and wheelchairs. There is adequate shade for summer picnics and walk trails including stairs and paths to the dam wall.
You can drive up close to overlook the dam itself if you are unable to hike. A fun day out for families of all ages. If you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle there are a few gravel tracks into the bushland and areas surrounding the reservoir where you can fish for trout and other species in the season. (With a recreational fresh water fish licence)
Spring is a great wildflower time with many blooming in the bushland surrounding the over 500 hectares of dam footprint meandering through gullies and tributaries into the main catchment. Within an hours drive from Bunbury CBD, its definitely a trip to share with family and friends.

The dam was at 92.6% full with 58 gl of water so that means their was 58 billion litres of water 💧. The hills around was lovely and green so beautiful 😍 right now 😀

Beautiful place for a outing and picnic. Water level is a bit low though

Beautiful area, always clean, wonderful for fishing and marroning in the correct seasons, be careful as it is trophy waters and fines may be applied if you're caught doing the wrong thing. Good place for hiking, swimming, barbecues and four wheel driving.

Great place to visit with a playground, picnic area, gardens, walk trails around the bottom of the wall, or you can walk along the top as well. Even has an amphitheatre.
Very pretty place

Great area to take a walk along the top of the dam. There is a day picnic area and an amphitheatre too. Lots of parking and clean toilets.

Great walk trail at the base of the dam. There are great facilities for BBQ, toilet, drinking water, ample car park. A display stage might be handy for small group, not sure about pre-booking though. Lot of cockatoo birds flying here and there. It is really stunning natural beauty in the both sides of dam.

Amazing place for a visit and walk. The view is stunning on all sides. A must see on a visit to Harvey.
