Your Discount Chemist Laurieton

Have just moved into a larger shop. The new store is huge, has a lot more variety - hence now it is a superstore. There is a lot of room to move about, great for people with wheelie walkers and prams. Prices are fantastic and the staff are beautiful always smiling and very friendly, always happy to help out. They go above and beyond to help. Parking is on street parking out front or around the corner. Your Discount Chemist does get busy (very popular with locals and visitors) but its all worth it. Customer service is A1 😊.

This new shop in new location, conveniently just across the road where it used to be is so much nicer than it was before. More selection of everything, a lot of specials and low prices. Prescription section runs a lot faster and seems to be organized a lot better.

Waiting for a prescription to be filled and watching 4 staff members including the chemist having a long social chat, without dispensing medications.

I purchased goods from the Laurieton store 11 Oct, when I unpacked my purchases one of the items was damaged (large cut across the package which contained moist wipes) today I returned to the store to exchange the item for an undamaged item. I was firstly spoken to be a senior woman at the front of store, who rudely told me to "take it down the back" which I did and spoke to a young lady who also had a bad attitude regarding my issue. She apparently spoke to someone and was told to exchange the item but next time I should examine ALL purchases prior to leaving the store!!!!! Is that not something the staff should do when placing items on the shelves?
There was an assumption made that i may have damaged the item myself and returned it for exchange!!
My question then was why would I do that? The response being "people do" !!!!!
I discussed the bad service i had received with multiple people and was told many people will not go to the Laurieton store again due to their unacceptable customer service. Quote: a local GP practise advises clients not to go to the Laurieton store. And I also will not be returning to that store.

Today 6/5/23, I bought a pack of 5 On-site Rapid Antigen Test from Laurieton store. I used the first one, the solution was not sufficient for it to travel up to letter C on the test cassette. So I tried another test, it was the same, insufficient solution again.
I rang the Laurieton Chemist where I bought the RATs. I was told to ring the distributors direct. I don’t think that’s the right process. Laurieton Chemist bought their supplies from MD solutions while I bought the RAT from the Chemist.
hence, the Chemist contract is with supplier and my contract is with the Chemist.

Laurieton Chemist should refund me the the cost of the defective RAT and claim their costs from their supplier for supplying defective Onsite RATs.

If this is not sorted, I’ll bring this to the attention of consumer affairs.

Another mistake. Get your act together. I'm going to another chemist. Not happy with today's error.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Ordered special prescription formula and they ordered the wrong one then it took 6 days to receive it! No care or concern provided to me as a customer. It’s run by kids with no accountable, customer service skills or management abilities. What a joke 👎

hopeless...run by kids with no knowledge...all good staff gone !
