Trappers Steak & Seafood Restaurant Batemans Bay

The atmosphere in this restaurant is very nice, everything is well spaced out and looks amazing. The outdoor area has heaters above the tables making sure you are always conformable.

The staff were flat out but the service was great, everybody was polite and gave us everything we needed.

The food was amazing and cooked to perfection. Servings were more than generous and was more than we could eat in one sitting.

The truffled mashed potato was easily one of the best things I've ever tried.

The only let down was the lack of parking as it's combined with the hotel but don't let that stop you enjoying the incredible food here

Having never been here before and not knowing what to expect, my husband and I were immediately impressed by the beautiful interior of the restaurant. Our orders for both drinks and food were taken promptly and our meal was served in a very timely fashion. Hats off to the chef as our mains and desserts were absolutely delicious. Outstanding service by all staff made for a very memorable evening. We will definitely be back and I will most assuredly recommend Trappers for an excellent dining experience.

First would like to say thank you for a amazing tasty dinner, me and my wife enjoyed it.

Walking in we was greeted by nice kind waitress made me feel so welcome. Being far from home we was treated with nice respect.

For entree,
I had the octopus - Very nice cooked well it’s not easy to perfect octopus and can be easily over cooked in this case it was cooked perfectly melted in mouth fresh taste the candy walnuts was nice with the basil the pickled red onion every Element put together on a fork is just mouth watering and very tasty.

The wife had calamari rings-
Her comments “very nice” i had a try I can say cooked as well to perfection taste fresh simple but executed well.

Main

Come on they had the 550g rib eye a bloke like me can’t turn this steak down. I ordered it and it came looking like someone has delivered a golden nugget on my plate. Asked for medium have gotten medium with perfection.

Now for the taste listen to me very carefully I’m known to reviewing steaks from the highest places in Sydney I’m going to drop it here and say hands down one of the best steaks I’ve ever had this is inline with I’m Angus Sydney darling harbour. And that place is only known for steaks.

It tasted soft juicy had flavour you know a good steak thru the taste of flavour. Most places forget a big cut like this needs to be taken care of in terms of perfect seasoning. Tappers smashed it the sides mash potatoes and a nice sauce that just brings it straight to the heart with flavour. Honestly chef pat on the back well done.

The wife - Ordered lamb back strap , of course I had to try it very nice soft lamb cooked medium with a tasty crumb on the outside mixed with the yogurt sauce and beetroot relish well presented and tasty all together.

Deserts -

I had the crumble quince very nice sweet tasty perfect not much to say I’m more of a main and entree person. But if you are a sweet lover this will be nice for you.

Wife had - banoffee stack lite sweet not to sweet I liked it more then the quince cause I’m not a sweet palette person very nice.

Overall 5 star hands down read most if not all the reviews and I can say I don’t give 5 stars often but Trappers steak & seafood have gotten it I enjoyed the dinner everyone was well respected.

I’ve been to Trappers twice now. Both times the food was delicious - well cooked and presented. A family member (child) has significant food allergies and the chef was able to accommodate these.

The food and service here is excellent. We were unexpectedly surprised at the quality and serving size. Such a wonderful meal, one of the best I've had at a motel restaurant. We had the Local octopus salad, spring rolls, rib-eye and lamb. The lamb meal was so delicious I'm still thinking about it! 👍We spent the weekend telling others in town to try it out! Keep up the great work! Such a hidden gem, but not for long...

We had a fantastic dinner at Trappers. We sat outside in the undercover area and despite it being a cold night we were warm and cosy with the heaters. The food was delicious, service excellent and atmosphere was very welcoming with open fire.

Always a beautiful dinning experience when I dine here with my family 10/10 the cocktails are some of the best I have ever had and the food, atmosphere and service all remarkable.

As previously stated, we returned to this wonderful restaurant and tonight was as good as the last ...highly recommend all on menu . Will definitely be coming back on our next holiday.

Dinner for 4 on a Saturday night. Ambience was pleasant as was service. Prices were up there but quality & serving size of dishes was excellent. Great range of food choices especially seafood, along with an extensive wine list. Would have to be close to the best in the Bay. Only real negative was the room temperature which was a little on the cool side for a winter night. Will be back for more.

We had the 3 course for $75 dinner deal and the food was great with generous portions. The menu has a good variety and my wife had several gluten-free options to choose from. The service was friendly and prompt and the ambience was good too. The wine list has many Australian options and we enjoyed a lovely $30 bottle of cab sav. We will be going again for sure.

Amazing dinner, pleasantly suprised as the venue doesn't look much from the outside, although inside the restaurant is modern and the atmosphere is great. Purchased a starter, entree and main all of which were delicious and generously sized.

We enjoyed a delicious meal and fantastic service this evening at Trappers. Every member of the team was welcoming and professional and it really was an enjoyable experience. The setting is lovely, the food was delicious and the service was great. Highly recommend for a special treat!

It didn’t look like much from the website or outside however one you step inside, it is quite the different story. Food was exquisite, fine dining experience. The quality of the food was certainly worth a trip and we would definitely return. The $65:00 set menu was an experience of flavours and if you are passing through I would most definitely encourage anyone to take some time out to venture into this restaurant and experience the high quality of food.

Son and I were craving steak. It hit the spot! We both had the sirloin, I should have tried the eye fillet so we could compare the dishes. Maybe the next time we're in Batemans Bay. Service very friendly and attentive.
