The Imperial Hotel

The Imperial Hotel has had a restoration that has allowed it to keep its original charm. They have done it very well. The only thing I would say that needed to be done was to add towel rails or an extra hook or two in the bathroom. We also really needed a bathmat which I was unsure if they had just missed for our stay. The TV in our room was also mounted in the worst position right up in the corner away from the bed which made it very uncomfortable to watch. The bed however, was very comfortable & we did not hear noise from downstairs or from other guests, although this could have been because we stayed on a Monday night. The price of the room was very reasonable & the room was very clean. Check in was easy also. We had dinner there & the food was done well & reasonably priced. The servings were so plentiful that we could hardly finish it. They had a vegan option for me which was done very well & my partner had a chicken parmigiana which he really enjoyed. Staff were great too. We definitely recommend this establishment. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Fantastic rooms, thoughtful refurbished place... really clean and modern. Staff are super friendly and helpful.
Food is excellent, love that most mains come with the choice of two sides from a range of things (salads, roast veges etc). Steak cooked to perfection

Right in the middle of town rooms look brand new so clean. Great feed and 15% off dinner when staying. Only issue is the external door banging with the early risers. We were right next to the external door. Ear plugs supplied so I could deal. I really loved the place and so did the partner who stayed watching footy with a beer until he was the last to leave at 9.30pm.

Had an awesome one night stay here! We checked in around 4pm and went straight to the bar where the manager came and checked us in, they even gave us a room upgrade which was amazing! We then tried out some food and drinks and the portions were huge! We got the nachos and wedges and a few drinks which were yum 😊 all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We came out here to go and visit all the waterfalls and sights in the area, but unfortunately the weather didn’t hold up the following day! We definitely hope we can stay here again before heading back to NZ. 10/10 recommend!

I make a point of eating at the Impy at least once a week for the great meals and excellent Tooheys Old on tap.
The meals are tasty and healthy. My standard is the 200g rump with greens and roast pumpkin, cooked medium to perfection every single time.

I visited for dinner tonight and had the best chicken parmi I've had in a long time. Full of flavour and with a lovely side of veggies. Right in the heart of town and and an easy walk from other local Inn's and hotels.

Chilli 🌶 margaritas need to be a permanent cocktail on the menu just saying.

Some staff need to just have a bit more experience making cocktails, other than that absolutely great pub with great pub staples but also a seasonal menu, which is fantastic.
Can't fault them.

The staff at the Impy are just beautiful. The food is always amazing and the atmosphere is always fun and welcoming. A lot of care and attention has been put into creating such a wonderful space.

In terms of a nice pub, good food, live music and friendly staff. Ya can't go wrong with the impy. Good prices too

We had a late lunch at the Imperial Hotel in Murwillumbah, and the food was excellent.
My holloumi Burger was one of the best I've ever tasted. Definitely a must go. 👌

What a treat to find the tastefully renovated and well located Imperial Hotel in Murwillumbah. We were looking for a one night stay while dining at the highly acclaimed Bistro Livi and couldn’t have been happier with the comfortable room complete with fabulous bathroom and excellent service. We will be back!

This hotel was a truly pleasant surprise! The renovations are top notch and traditional. Food and drinks were good and the room was the best pub room I've ever stayed in.

Great dining experience. The venue is clean, staff are friendly and the food is delicious and plentiful. We sat on the patio with our dog and it was a lovely evening.

I have just visited the rooftop bat which is simoly amazing and gives you a great view on the opera house. There is gardly anything you would miss on the beverage or food card. Prices are OK for Sydney. Whoever is nearby the rocks should come in and enjoy the view. For the rooftop an online reservation or onsite at the bar the is highly recommended as its always pretty full but worth to wait and see.

Enjoyable experience in this hotel, food was excellent, staff pleasant, friendly and accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Was there for Murbah Rumble event and place was rocking.

Read an article in the newspaper and decided to have a look. Great art Deco pub. Easy to find as it's pink. Menu is on the smaller side but everything was cooked perfectly and to order. Staff friendly and prices are very reasonable. Loved the bathrooms, brings back memories. Another one to come back to.

Friendly staff. Good vibes. Sports on big TVs. Can vouch for the steaks and the chicken burger 🍔😋

Didn't stay over as we live in the tweed.
This is such a great little spot to eat at any time, especially on a Saturday night!
