We had both our bikes serviced before hitting the NNRT for the first time. Rachel and her team could't do enough for us - top service with a smile and lots of advice before we went on our way. The shop has good stocks of bikes and accessories for sale - everything you'll ever need! Highly recommend diving in when you're in the area.

Here I am holidaying on the Tweed. Enjoying the Northern Rivers Rail Trail and all the other great cycling options around the Tweed Valley.
All going great until it's Sunday afternoon and my bottom bracket started knocking and grinding. Oh no... What to do?
One phone call to Murwillumbah Cycles and Jeff has me sorted out with a new bottom bracket and I'm back on the road!
This is what really makes an LBS (local bike shop) such an important thing to have and to support. eBay sure wasn't going to get me back on the road in under an hour! Thank you Jeff for your efforts and your commitment to cycling in the Tweed Valley. Murwillumbah Cycles just saved my holiday. Thanks Jeff and everyone at Murwillumbah Cycles.

We had a great experience yesterday on the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. The team at Northern Rivers cycles were so accomodating to our group. It was our first time hiring e-bikes and the team explained everything thoroughly. Pick up and drop off was also seamless. Would definitely recommend 👍

I went to visit Jeff and Rachel from Northern Rivers Cycles a few weeks ago. I explained to them that I needed help with my bike as each week in my community triathlon I was getting slower and like all good sport people I was happy to blame the equipment (my bike) which is second hand and needed some love.

I also added that I was a single mum on a budget and was unsure if they would be able to help me on a limited spend . But they certainly did. Jeff to the time to look over my bike and find ways to improve the speed. Rachel showed me the correct positioning to sit on my bike and checked seat heights and my foot positions. Less than a week later I picked up my bike and my times were at least 2 minutes faster. I was thrilled and so thankful. Over the week I’ve had other questions about my tyres and Jeff was more than happy to give me advice over the phone.

Yesterday, I won the race I’ve had my eye on this season and I don’t think it would have been possible without the support and dedication to their customers that Northern Rivers Cycles always shows. I encourage any rider - whether beginning or professional to visit Rach and Jeff! They really know their stuff and will not pressure you to spend more than you can.

You guys are the best!

Enjoyed the most wonderful family day on the NRRT - made possible with thanks to the crew at Murwillumbah Cycles. Their team assisted us with bike rentals and a shuttle to Crabbes Creek where we began our journey.

We travelled with our 4 year old daughter in a child carrier carriage, stopping at many places along the way and making a full day adventure of our bike hire. We rented Premium Cruisers, which were close to brand new and incredibly comfortable.  The team went above and beyond to accommodate & secure our carrier carriage, and checked in with us in the afternoon to make sure everything was going well with our trip.

The track is very accessible to all ages and abilities, and was surprisingly well shaded. Signage along the path was also excellent. Taking the shuttle to Crabbes Creek allowed us to cruise at our own pace in the direction of Murwillumbah, and although very flat it felt there was slightly more downhill in this direction making it a really easy cycle with the carrier carriage.

Strongly recommend both the bike hire and shuttle service to anyone considering riding the trail! Thanks team.

We'll be back!

I would not be able to experience the Rail Trail without the use of an ebike. Northern Rivers Cycles made this possible at a great cost. The ebikes we hired were well maintained and great quality bikes. Thank you we highly recommend

We had our two road bikes serviced and repaired by Jeff at Northern Rivers Cycles. He kindly collected our bikes from Cabarita Beach. We appreciated his advice and competency and can highly recommend him.

Two great experiences with Murwillumbah Cycles, one in Aug 2023 and one in October 2023. Hired their Levo e-bike and found it a solid comfortable ride from Murwillumbah to the end of the 23km outbound leg the first time and the full 46km return journey the second time. Great spots to stop along the way - the Hosanna Farmstay makes great coffee and brekky rolls. Service at Murwillumbah Cycles, is friendly, helpful and knowledgable from the boss right through to their junior staff, and they employ locals with plenty of local knowledge and tips. We used their shuttle service from Mooball the first time, it was ontime and informative on the way back to Murwillumbah. Overall - great value for a half day of fun and a good workout!

Great service, great value for money (cheaper than others I found) in a perfect spot for joining the NRRT! Bikes were well maintained and I'm planning to buy one of my own after using the bikes provided by Murwillumbah Cycles. Cheers guys, we had a lovely day!

Jeff has been servicing my road bikes (some for racing and others used for recreation) for several years in his shops in Cabarita Beach, then Murwillumbah and now Mooball. Always great communication with a real knowledge of everything cycling, very reasonable pricing and the serviced bikes are a pleasure to ride afterwards.

A group of us hired 7 bikes recently to do the Rail bike trail and were so impressed with Murwillumbah Cycle (Northern Rivers Cycles and Hire). Excellent quality bikes ready and waiting for us in the Mooball shop. Reasonable cost and great service by Jeff. If you have not done the Rail Trail ride it is fantastic (congratulations to Tweed River Council). The half day hire is enough get do the return trip from Mooball to Murwillumbah if you are reasonably fit.

One of the best bike trails in the world...... whoever thought of the udea to convert an unused rail line to a awesome bike path through the best countryside is a genius... great time exploring and experiencing nature at its best... great bikes, easy to ride and the support was world class ... well done.... we will be back

Had a great ride today with ebikes from Northern Rivers bike hire, formerly Murwillumbah Cycles. We hired from the Mooball store. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and got us on the trail quickly. The ebike cruisers were comfy with plenty of power. Used only 40% over the four hours. Great value and experience. Will definitely use again. Thanks

Fantastic service and a great deal. I purchased a birthday present and needed quick delivery which the team were able to help me with. They kept me informed the whole way and delivered on their word. Highly recommended.

4 adults, 1 toddler., needed a child rack, some baskets to carry snacks, needed lessons on how to run these ebikes (having never used them). They got everyone on the right size bike, sorted out the kid, made sure everyone was feeling confident. Thank you so much, it was such lovely experience.
