Fabulous food, beautiful staff and a sweet venue! We had the banquet and it was so enjoyable! Every dish was served fresh and hot, and the staff made us feel so welcomed. To top it off, the cocktails were superb! Highly recommend!

Great authentic Greek in a great cozy fitout. Service was top quality as was the food. We opted for the Feasting Banquet for 4 of us with matching wines. We did not leave hungry, plenty of food to go around and lots of different dishes to sample the menu. Great to have something special in the area.

We had the banquet and really enjoyed the whole meal. The Byron Bay Haloumi was so nice as where all the other five courses and the timing was perfect as we never felt rushed. Would highly recommend Taverna but make sure you book a table well in advance other you will miss this wonderful food experience.

The tasting menu is a great option for a late lunch especially if you're feeling hungry. The portions are extremely generous, with the lamb shoulder and halloumi being particular stand outs. Drinks menu is wide and provides great variety of classics as well as showcasing the surrounding regions.

A wonderful experience, professional and amazing staff who made our group dining experience so special and an experience to remember. All dishes, excepting one were delicious and authentic, and the one dish that wasn't up to standard, staff showed incredible accountability and offered a substitute while we waited for a rematch. The rematch dish was delicious.
I've walked past this restaurant countless times dreaming of dining there one day and it did not disappoint. Well worth the bill.

I honestly cannot fault any of the meals. Each dish was the perfect mix of flavours, aesthetics, and serving size. From the fried baby squid, to the Byron bay halloumi, and that generous serving of slow roasted lamb shoulder. Topped with the avgolemono pie and caramel banana tart! It was all so delicious. This Greek establishment is a must for the area to visit! Amazing staff with their generous hospitality. Will definitely be visiting again in the future

Such a pleasurable experience - we were treated to a Greek feast! Situated in the beautiful coastal area of Kingscliff, Taverna serves fusion-Greek food which perfectly complements the ambiance of the Australian coast.

The food was fresh and deliciously put together. The Byron Bay haloumi, pan seared scallop, and the pork and beef keftedes were the highlights of the dinner! An absolute treat!

I highly recommend Taverna when you find yourself in Kingscliff.

Great restaurant. They have a smart policy of only allowing large groups to order off a set menu - which means you get all your food in a timely manner, and you share it with everyone. There was more than enough food for everyone. In fact, there was so much food that we had to take away most of the mains because we couldn't finish! ☺ I especially liked the halloumi cheese with honey and the scallops.

Excellent food! Great Sunday Night dinner out with the chefs menu. Delicious and would go back again to celebrate or just for a great feed! Outstanding value for money.

Very quaint and pleasant inside. Attentive and friendly service. Delicious food. The dishes were not fancy, but well made with on point flavours and balance.

Been a second time, everything was excellent, warmed Olives and Feta were perfect starter, and both mains were just the best.

Would highly recommend this place. We ordered the banquet and the food was excellent, you could just tell it was made with really high quality ingredients. The atmosphere is lovely and the setting both inside and out is really beautiful. The service was incredible and we felt very well looked after. Even the amenities were fantastic. This was a really special experience and would definitely recommend for a date night especially.

Bit late on my review but last Friday was such an amazing experience. We were greeted warmly, seated early, provided amazing service and recommendations from our waitress. The “fireball whisky sour” was all the holidays mashed into a drink and I loved it. If they recommend how many plates you should order, please take note! She was able to guess it to the plate and I didn’t believe her and ordered an extra plate 😂
Lamb was moist and so tender.

Beautiful night out with my partner. Thank you for the wonderful chef’s banquet, delicious every serve and we could taste the love and feeling coming out of that kitchen each bite.
Wait staff were impeccable in timing, friendly and more than accomodating to our every need. As my future wife said “the best dining experience I’ve had ever!”
Highly recommend the simplicity of halloumi cheese and honey, followed by our lamb shank cooked to perfection. I’ve never had halva before, but the Mediterranean tasting plate dessert added a new favourite to my taste buds. Thank you once again for an amazing night and look forward to spending more time there in the future

While downtown Kingy isn't exactly Mykonos the Taverna is a little piece of Greece. The food takes me back to my street urchin days in Parramatta hanging with my best mate Labros and his brother Dimitri, and going to their place for a lamb shoulder prepared by their Yiayia. Brendan, Shane and family provide a great experience and food. The menu has changed recently with the addition of a host of smaller plates. We usually go for the slow roasted lamb shoulder, but this time we went with the smaller plates and were not disappointed. If you're keen for a Mediterranean holiday but can't afford it then get down to the Taverna and try their cuisine.

But the staff were to stand out feature of the night. Smiley, happy staff that delivered exceptional service and skill. The Venue is just gorgeous, beautifully, put together without being over the top. Great atmosphere, with music at just the right level, so you could comfortably chat.

10/10!! We went here on our first dinner out in Kingscliff and it was by far the best restaurant we went to during our one week stay. The service was exceptional! The manager treated his staff very well which was really nice to see. The food was SO good! I highly recommend this place.
