Merriwa RSL

I had dinner there on Saturday 5th August.
Had LARGE Sirloin Steak, Chips & Veg’s ; Broccoli, Carrots, Pea’s & Corn. Large Plate with Very Large Portions, Heaped Up,,,
Falling Off The Plate… Steak was Cooked Just The Way I Asked. EVERYTHING ON MY PLATE WAS COOKED TO PP” PERFECTION FOR ME !!!
Which Is Hard To Get These Day’s.
Before I saw my Meal, i thought. A Bit Pricey at $41:00.
i just wished i lived closer, so i could have taken half home for Sunday night.
ABSOLUTELY Delicious, Many Thanks To Tracey and The Other Kitchen Staff Working Saturday Night…. Many Thanks Again Ladies.
Can’t Recommend Merriwa RSL, Bistro Enough…. P.S : Everyone Stood and Paid Respects for Our Diggers !!!

Excellent feed had fish chips and salad was awesome filled me up with a few beers during happy hour will end back there again

The Merriwa RSL has the best bistro in town by far. Meals are affordable. Servings are generous. Highly recommend the mushroom gravy. The rich and delicious flavour compliments your steak/schnitzel and chips extremely well. Salad serves are generous and not just mixed lettuce leaves.

Ordered a salt and pepper squid as entree and calamari rings with chips and salad from the mains menu. Both were delivered at the same time as requested, absolutely crispy and beautiful, salad as fresh and imaginative as could be! Had traveled 18000 km around Australia and this was the most outstanding price/value meal and also the RSL club offered RV parking and realized that neighbors had even free hot showers! Best place - top notch!!!!

I arrived too late for a Bistro meal, but the lovely Bar Attendant heated up a pizza for me.

I commented it had been a long day and lo and behold she informs me they have showers!!!

Passed through Merriwa at lunch time - the cafes were doing a roaring trade but seemed pretty busy, and we were hungry.
The restaurant at the RSL is open for lunch Thursdays to Sundays, so it being a Thursday we wandered in for lunch.
It was quiet. Got ourselves a beer and headed for the restaurant.
Ordered a schnitty and chips with gravy, and wife had san choi bow. Well, the schnitzel hung over the plate, and hid a pile of chips. Nice thick portion and filled me nicely for the next 4 hours on the road. The san choi bow was really different but equally a satisfying - so said my wife!
Try the RSL for lunch or dinner, well priced and friendly staff too.

Great parking out back on a grassy dont worry about it being brown! No bindis so the hounds can have a run around. Locals are really friendly and great local produce shop. Good stop for the short run home to Newy or first stop on your way up north

No matter what day, you are sure to feel welcome here. There is a much more inviting atmosphere and personability at the merriwa RSL and I highly recommend it for all travelling the golden highway.

RV parking out back, turn onto side street and into alley. Always great to visit RSL as they have great food.

Food is beautiful and very well priced and service is fantastic. Huge thumbs up.

Great little club, very generous, cheap meals. Free camping (with toilets and showers inside the club) they like you to have a drink or a meal in exchange

A big surprise for a country town 6 of us had dinner last night not one complaint very unusual for this crowd best food we all had in a long time congratulations Merriwa RSL club

Friendly staff, nice meals, free snooker. Free camped in the paddock which was convenient.

Great pizza and top country service. If you need a break a good place to rest and have a feed. Recommended.
