There's nice walking paths here, beautiful trees, a shaded playground with plenty of activities for a broad age range, including a sand pit (with a digger), some little trampoline pads, swings, flying fox, fort/ship, slides, covered picnic areas with BBQs and water and toilet amenities. There's a landscaped pond where duck gather for a feed and there's signs on display to state what to (and what not to) feed the ducks. Follow the path under the bridge and you'll find outdoor exercise equipment too.

Very pretty ,nicely presented and very friendly wildlife, ended up saving a moorehen on our visit that was struck by a car it wasn't wounded but slightly dazed ,I assessed and snuggled with her for 10mins until she was ready to roam freely again. We were intending on seeing the beautiful trees in their amazing autumn bloom but a week too late im afraid. Still a beautiful place to visit and enjoy the serenity.

Beautifully maintained area with great facilities. And all free! Perfect place for a picnic, BBQ, or children's party. The park is on both sides of Cessnock Road, and you can walk across safely via a tunnel under the road which joins both sides of the park. Kids play equipment on one side, free BBQ's on both sides. Car parks on both sides. Plenty of seating and sheltered tables. Large area for ball games, or go for a walk and see the ducks and other birds. Toilet facilities on both sides. There were a few people walking their dogs - all dogs were on leashes and the owners cleaned up after them. 😊

Great parkland for everyone. Well maintained shelters for picnics or just sit on grass. Good play areas on both sides of main road. Would like to e history of old Chinese houses that used to be here, whence came the name.

Great park with plenty of room to run around, covered bbq tables if you need one and get there early enough. Concrete walkways for kids to ride bikes or scooters plus under bridge pass to get to playground across the road.

THE best Park in the Cessnock Lga. Good parking, great toilets and and fantastic range of activities to be had. A walking/ cycling for kid, fantastic playground and great BBQ's and plenty of shade trees. The only let down is the lack of shaded seating.

Nice place for a picnic & a walk around the dam. Child friendly but ensure you get away from the road so they can run & play & you can keep a close eye on them.

In the middle of nowhere in the side of a busy road is this oasis for kids and families. From a bike path around a small man made lack, to a park area which caters for small and medium age kids and even a great area to kick it throw a ball, this place is the perfect place to spend an hour or two or have a picnic.

A wonderful parkland area with many picnic shelters or open grass. BBQs in some shelters (free). Good selection of bird life around the billabongs on both sides of the road - access under the road bridge on extensive walking paths. Would be nice to have some information boards about the history of the chinese market gardens that once occupied the area.

Great park for the kids, the only concern I have is there should be a child proof fence to prevent kids wondering off onto the very busy main road and into the car park.. Cessnock Council should address this immediately..
