Elbourne Wines

We visited this beautiful family business yesterday! What an amazing experience for us all! The Elbourne family were all so sweet, welcoming, and hospitable! Out of a whole day visiting different vineyards, Elbourne was by far the best wine we tasted. They also had best smelling candles in recycled wine bottles and delicious looking extras like honey! We look forward to organising our next trip to the hunter, making sure this is on the list of places to visit!

Everything about this place is amazing - the setting, the animals, the facilities, the people and the wine is excellent, too. We arrived at 10.30am on a Friday and Adam looked after us in a very personal and knowledgeable way. We could tell he was passionate about his family's products and we left with two packs of wines, and we will be back. When we return, we will bring the kids as they would love the place as well. Absolutely a hidden gem and we are glad we came across Elbourne Wines when researching options for the day trip to the Hunter! Highly recommended!

This place is place is amazing. We rocked up with 3 young children unannounced and Adam greeted us with a smile to his home. The kids eyes popped out of their heads when they saw the rolling hills overflowing with toys and areas to play, all within view of the wine tasting area (parents dream). Sit back, relax and enjoy some beautiful wines.

My favourite winery in the Hunter Valley. Such a down to earth and wonderfully personal experience. I love the feeling of sitting in the back yard with a view like this sipping on incredible wine! Thank you!!

We have been to the Hunter a number of times and never have we experienced such amazing and beautiful service and wines. It is so specialised and warm and they all went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and wanting more. The wines are the best in the Hunter and I don’t say that lightly. We will absolutely be back and we will bring back the family and friends.

A very homey place with a caring, charming host – Adam Elbourne. Shaded by 40-year-old wisteria and decorated with bright, bold colours, the tasting verandah overlooks its estate-grown Chardonnay vines. I had such a great chat with Adam, who was the most straight-speaking but thoughtful guy that you could meet. His personality really shone through the wines and cellar door experience. It was such a family-friendly place where parents could watch their children and pets have fun while sipping on clean, well-made wines.

Adam told me about his plans for a new, bigger but equally family- and pet-friendly cellar door. Exciting times!

Stunning experience. Lachie was exceptional with his knowledge and ability to answer the question we had - he helped to discern more information around the soil quality and the effects that this can have on the grapes in all, a pleasant surprise for the morning and will be returning in due time.

Would recommend highly for a broad and high level tasting experiences!

The views, the homely feel (dogs, pet rabbits ect.) And note to family tradition left me feeling like I could have stayed all day.

I attended the wine dinner held at Elbourne wines last Saturday night and my highlight of the wines was "the olive press" tempranillo! Show stopper. Couldn't help but to purchase a few to take home 👌

Hidden gem in the Hunter Valley. Our kids could enjoy the outdoor in the playground whil we could taste the wines. We bought a case of rose, but all the other wines had a lot of character and were fantastic. Thanks again for this beautiful experience! Highly recommended.

Loved, loved, loved our wine-tasting experience here. Everything was perfect: the views, sitting in the sun, all the toys & little animals for our little toddler. Dog-friendly and delicious wines. Lady who was doing the wine tasting was also very pleasant. Super relaxing experience for the whole family. Apart from wine, we were also able to get some eggs & honey from the estate 👌 highly recommend 👌

Wonderful wine tasting experience. The view is excellent. There are plenty of activities for the kids. The Both parents and kids can have a enjoyable moment. The lady was really nice and helpful.

So great!! We were wine tasting with two little kids and this place was PERFECT. Heaps of toys, animals and a playground to keep the kids happy, plus INCREDIBLE wine, hospitality and views for mum and dad. Such a beautiful family winery and a great way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely wine tasting and experience with Adam.. he was so accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. His wine is so delicious and reasonably priced. We love his beautiful setting on his patio overlooking the farm and allowing children to run and explore! You have got things spot on at your home, I cannot wait to see what you develop in your new venture!

Spent a fabulous Easter Saturday afternoon at Elbourne and loved it. Our group consisted of 8 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 babies. We were able to book a table where those who wished to could taste their very enjoyable wines while we snacked on our BYO picnic. There was a playground, toys and animals to entertain the children along with plenty of space to run around. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and the staff were very knowledgeable about the wines on offer, which were also very enjoyable. If you’re looking for a winery where you can combine family time with some adult relaxation in a stunning setting, this is the place for you. We all had a great day and will definitely enjoy our purchases. Thank you Elbourne Wines. 😊

We had a great time at Elbourne Wines!! We had a large group of adults and kids and the team was very accommodating. The adults could sit back and enjoy some very delicious wines and the kids had fun playing on the playground, on the beautiful lawns as well as meeting some friendly animals. Being able to bring a cheese platter and food for the kids was also a great aspect for families. We would definitely recommend visiting, make sure you leave room in your car for few boxes of wine! We’re all looking forward to our next visit! A+++

If you are considering a tasting here, don’t hesitate as it is cream of the crop. Today my wife and I arrived at the Elbourne family home/tasting veranda without a booking although we had tried to. We were greeted by Alex run off her feet presenting wines to a large group. We had no expectations of being offered a tasting but she was insistent of accommodating us. Alex made us feel so welcome and how wonderful it was to meet her children, parents and in-laws. It was disappointing that Adam wasn’t around but he can’t be everywhere. We will certainly be back to meet him.
The tasting was an absolute delight. Relaxed, informative and each wine a true reflection of the variety made with minimal intervention, and dollops of skill. Wines were of exceptional quality. All of them.

Wow! I could not rate this winery highly enough! The setting is absolutely STUNNING and the friendliness about the kids is really above and beyond. The owners mother even took my girls to see baby chicks. I loved how small and intimate the winery was, and Anne absolutely made the wine tasting experience for us. She was so funny and cheeky and really made us feel at home. This winery is an absolute must with or without children!

We came because we heard it was a kid-friendly winery to visit – and boy were we not disappointed.

The tasting is done on a nice covered verandah of the house the "sommelier" lives in with the family.

They have a few dogs which love a pat; an enclosure with geese and chickens, as well as a playground complete with trampoline, sandpits and slides.

Needless to say it really freed us up to enjoy the wine.

In terms of tasting – they had a great selection of reds and whites. The host likes to spend time talking to visitors and didn’t rush us at all.

We highly recommend this place and would come here again in future.
