The place was run by volunteers which they were friendly and nice. Entry is 10$ for each person included parking inside the village. Atmosphere was amazing, beautiful place for families and kids to visit. It’s less than a hour from Sydney. Really lovely place, fully recommend

Small village that is well maintained by volunteers. Plenty of interesting stories about the area and exhibits.

The town is actually composed of several structures that have been moved from other sites.

Definitely can occupy a few hours. The big train is worth taking a ride on.

How fabulous is this place.
Hadn't been there for years and the volunteers have done a great job it getting it opened again.
I went on a market day so that was a bonus too. Lots to see, great areas for picnics or a few options for food.
Train rides, tractor rides - great fun!

The place is run by volunteers and offers a range of things for kids to see and learn about. They have whip demonstrations at 1.30pm, animal feedings and open up the public school for the kids to sit in at 2.30pm. There's a little stage with a piano for the kids to run around on. Animal paddocks you can walk around to. There's also a little veggie patch my 5 year old and 2 year old loved walking through it.

There's a cafe that offers a small menu. The food is good my husband said it's the best beef burger he's had this year. The prices are quite reasonable. 2 train rides and a tractor ride for extra cost which were fun for the kids too, again all run by volunteers. It's a fun day out overall. I think if I did come a second time I would bring a picnic blanket even though they have plenty of picnic tables I'd prefer to pick a spot in the shade.

Really fun & affordable family day out! Lots to do - 2 different train rides, tractor ride and a wagon ride, watch how lemonade, butter and damper is made, watch the musician, unicycle, puppet show, whip shows and more. Multiple food options also.

I had the pleasure of visiting The Australiana Pioneer Village today with my family. We had a wonderful time learning about life in Australia over 100 years ago.
The staff at The Australiana Pioneer Village were friendly and informative. They were happy to answer our questions and help us learn more about the village. We also appreciated the fact that the village is a non-profit organization. Overall, we had a wonderful time at The Australiana Pioneer Village. It was a great way to learn about Australian history and culture, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about the early days of the colony.

Definitely an awesome place for a family friendly Sunday adventure.
The staff were amazing, super engaging with the little ones.
The areas for picnics are ample and have plenty of shade, if you need a barbecue I would recommend an earlier lunch as people do snag them quickly, pun intended.
Everything is very well priced.
Definitely an easy relaxed Sunday outing for anyone wanting something to do.
Feeding the cute sheep was a plus!

A very nice place to get to know the early settlers life style.
This place is filled with historical information and also some attractions & rides for the children.
Electronic card transaction does not incur an additional surcharge.
During the public holidays, the food availability may be impacted.
Friendly team members and people and also farm animals too.

Best place for children and family. The Australian Pioneer Village has a beautiful design with authentic shops and other buildings that have been moved here from their original sites around the historic Hawkesbury district. Just walk with your family and experience the past of the village life . The Volunteers are friendly and helpful. We with family and friends enjoyed the village with Hay ride and Train ride. Best monuments, must visit places.

Being in the museum is like stepping back in time. Great way to learn about Australian history. They have scheduled activities (may change on short notice depending on how many volunteers they have). Wish we stayed longer because I wanted to see inside of the public school house but it was around 2pm to 3pm. Definitely worth a visit again.

Excellent day out!!! Entry very reasonably priced, all the rides are pay for what you want and also fairly priced. Kids loved the hayrides and train rides. There was live music and street performances. Lots of things for the kids to get hands on with - like drawing water from well, using old hammer and drill. Over special Easter program period- kids loved meeting Easter bunny, egg hunt and decorating a biscuit. It was a fantastic day! Fun family day out. Highly recommend.

Great place for learning and having fun. Now people know Australia has a long human history started by Aboriginals and Torres Strait Island people. Migrants and travellers can have a lot of chances to learn their culture and history, including their current ongoing frustrations. However, I believe that learning about first migrants / convicts' lives is also an important part of learning this country (other than gaols). Therefore, I don't think this is a place only for children as they mainly advertise, but for adults as well. In fact, I believe that adults find this place has a lot of fun more than kids! I highly recommend this place for all ages and all races.
* I sincerely appreciate all volunteers and locals.

We love coming out to the Pioneer Village and taking a break from technology. Our kids have a great time exploring, the volunteers are always engaging and make it so much fun for everyone.
There is plenty of parking available, you can pack a picnic or BBQ lunch and use the picnic tables and free bbqs Or you can purchase lunch and snacks on site, we had the fresh damper with butter and golden syrup and a delicious home made pea and ham soup with a fresh buttered roll for dipping.
Entry is super cheap and there's loads of free activities to enjoy. The kids played checkers, quoits and rode on the penny farthing bicycles and learnt how to crack a whip. You can also take a ride on the mini train or go on a tractor ride for a small fee. Highly recommend a day at the village for the whole family

We had a amazing family day out. Beautiful historic site and great fun looking at old time stories and buildings.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Greeting and dressed like the old days. When you standing on the main street It gives you the feeling that time traveled back for 100 years.

Price is cheap. Lots activities to do. And the Devonshire tea is a must try.

Only down side is the waiting time for the train ride. We waited 40mins to get the admin tickets and another 40mins to get a train ride.

But still it doesn’t bother us enjoying the site.
Great job. Would definitely recommend to others.
