I enjoyed my time here. The council have mowed the grass recently and it was a 5 minute walk to the bird hut from where I parked on church street.
There are great views from the hut out on towards the water. There is a lot of bird life here and if you are a bird lover you will love it here. Bring a long lens as the birds are a bit far away from the bird hut to capture good.

Good for watching water birds with a bird watcher's hideout.

Beautiful birds all around. Some in a distance, some so nearby you would miss them if not paying attention

Accessible only through a nature strip beginning at the end of church street, a big shelter for bird watchers has been built at this access point. The reeds in front of this shelter are being kept low, to give a view of the lagoon. I read, that it's possible to walk around the lagoon, however gumboots are required.

I've given this 3 stars because for avid bird watchers it offers a great structure with a clear view of the surrounding wetlands. However for those wanting to go for a nice walk with the dog or family this isn't the place and I'd give it 1 star...

Had to do a small walk to access the area, about 5 - 10 mins max.

Not a pleasant entry when wet or after rain. Rare trails too tall grasses. Not recommended.

Couldn't find a walking path or something like that though I searched for walks and got this suggested on googl maps before I went. Looks the place is not maintained to have visitors.
